It charges my phone and protects the back if it gets dropped

It’s not possible to insert any charging cable I own into the case and even if I could charge that up I don’t think it would charge the phone as there are no pins in the inside of the case that goes into the phone. I was supplied dead so I can’t check. It’s no good.

My old iPhone 8 battery had got to the stage where it did not even last a day. This case now allows me to go 2 -3 days before needing to charge it. It gets heavy use with podcasts, running apps and GPS draining it but I no longer worry about running out of juice. Only reason for not full 5 stars is it sometimes does not seem to charge while the case is being charged. This may be user error.

This case does add additional weight to your phone, you may want to consider wearing a belt in jeans or tie lace in your jog pants up tightly to prevent it from sliding down when placed in your pockets. Don't use the phone when it's charging, otherwise, it will take too long as it charges slowly. You'll get at least one full charge out of it when charging from 10%.

As a case and a charger I’m impressed with it so far. Ran my iPhone SE 2nd gen for about 6 hours continuous use on WiFi and was still showing 2 lights at end with phone fully charged. After only a few days I don’t feel able to rate durability, but I’ve no reason to question it, hence 5 stars. Very easy to mount and dismount phone. But none of my aftermarket charge leads would fit into the charging aperture. After about an hour of failing to locate the option to return it in the IOS version of Amazon (0 stars for the Amazon App!) it occurred to me Apple’s own cables might fit. I then bought two different sets of Lightning cables off Amazon specced as meeting Apple spec. Only one of them just fits into the aperture but I can’t work out which brand! There’s no obvious reason why the aperture should be so tight. I suppose a craft knife could trim the cable plastic to fit, but it’s something to bear in mind when ordering or travelling. Replacements may not be common, unless you pay for Apple OEM cables.
