Excellent lye. I usually buy in bulk from soap suppliers but I ran out and ordered this from Amazon in a pinch.Price was decent for 20 lbs. Super fast shipping. I received 2 days earlier than expected. Securely packed, no leaks or loose lye anywhere.I was worried the 5 pound bottle would be big and hard to handle but they are actually very manageable and not too heavy at all. Good shape bottle that can be held in one hand. I can pour straight from the bottles into my recipes. The plastic container is also durable/rugged and sealed with metal lid. Please be advised that the lids do not have the child safety mechanisms so PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN and PETS and store appropriately.I really like the shape of the lye. They are tiny beads/pearls. They dissolve so much easier and faster. I don't have to stir as much (which reduces the risk of splashes) and I never have clumping issues or any undissolved lye. Also, compared to the flake/chunks I get from other suppliers, these beads have almost no dust. When I pour, there isn't a cloud of lye dust hanging in the air. After mixing this lye with distilled water in a clean container, I did notice that it developed more of a film on the surface after cooling than other lye I have used. Maybe that is a purity factor. However, it did not make any difference in my recipes. My soaps still came out beautifully.I would recommend and buy this lye again.

High quality, well packaged, great for soaps
I use this for soap making, it leaves little if any material behind unlike "technical" grade lye.Each of the four 5# jugs was individually wrapped within the box twice to protect it.I've ordered smaller quantities from Molly's before I ordered this 20# kit.
