best pick I have ever used
I have been playing guitar off/on for about 30 years. I have always used whatever cheap picks I could find laying around or snagged from music shops -- the free ones they give you when you try out a guitar in the shop :) Always Medium gauge, for both acoustic and electric. I decided to try these Dava 1303's because they were cheap and looked cool, wasn't expecting much, I mean, a pick is a pick, right? Wrong. These little guys have a fantastic "feel" to them; they seem to get in between the strings so effortlessly for flat picking. It's crazy but that is what I am experiencing. They are maybe a bit on the thin side, but not overly so, I got used to them quick. Plenty stiff enough for enthusiastic strumming or picking. Tone-wise, they produce a nice, crisp, slightly metallic string sound which I rather like. I recorded some with them today and it was perhaps a bit on the loud side with regards to the audible pick attack on the strings on the acoustic (a Breedlove C25). But not bad and I was using a sensitive Rode condenser. Haven't played much with them on my electric yet (customized Fender Stratocaster) but I'm sure they will be fine there as well. I like these picks a LOT and am ordering a dozen more to keep around. Good stuff.

Best Picks for Serious Players
We've tried a myriad of picks in our guitar-playing filled household and have settled on these after a few decades of testing. These are the only picks we order now, and they've become a favorite of all musicians who pick them up inside our home for friendly sessions. They are thick enough to create a wonderful sound, easy and convenient to hold, and weighty enough to get out of a sound hole when it inevitably gets dropped into a guitar.

Almost Perfect Picks for the Guitar Enthusiast
So, I grabbed a 6-pack of these Dava 1303 Delrin Grip Tips Guitar Picks and, let me tell you, they're pretty darn close to guitar pick perfection. If you're on the hunt for something that can keep up with your strumming and picking without slipping or breaking, these might just be your new best friends. The grip on these picks is fantastic. Seriously, it's like they're glued to your fingers (but, you know, without the actual glue). Whether you're into long jam sessions or just noodling around, these picks stay put. The Delrin material gives them a nice, smooth feel, and they seem to glide over the strings with just the right amount of give and take. Sound-wise, they deliver. I've noticed a solid, consistent tone when I use them, which is super important whether you're playing acoustic or electric. They've got this way of making your sound just a bit brighter, a bit more alive. They come in a pack of six, which is great because, if you're anything like me, picks have a way of disappearing into the same black hole as socks. Plus, the quality feels top-notch. I've been using mine for a while, and they're holding up really well - no wear or tear in sight. Why not 5 stars, then? Well, they're almost perfect, but the thickness might not be everyone's cup of tea. They're a bit on the firmer side, which I like, but if you're into a more flexible pick, they might take some getting used to. Also, I wish there were more color options just for the fun of it, but that's just me being picky (pun intended). In a nutshell, the Dava 1303 Delrin Grip Tips Guitar Picks are a solid buy. They've upped my guitar game, and I'm pretty sure they'll do the same for you. Give them a try and see if they don't become a staple in your guitar case.

Thumbs up from our guitar player
I bought these multiple times as stocking stuffers for our son who plays electric guitar & bass guitar. He loves the thickness as well as the grip. They are his favorites.

It's OK...
Obviously, finding just the right guitar pick is a very personal thing. Mistakenly, I assumed this slightly larger Delrin pick would have similar qualities to the grippy Dava jazz pick that I so enjoy playing. Other than the Dava brand, it does not. This is a well made Delrin pick with a black contoured finger depression. I was expecting the same soft, grippy, rubberized material like the jazz pick that is so wonderful to play. No such luck. This pick is okay and does provide somewhat more gripping surface than most picks. However, in my opinion, Dava would have a real winner if the black overmolding was a grippy rubberized material.

More of a medium to thin flexibility, the middle of the pick has a nice thickness.
Enjoying just strumming, a little bit thin for my usual playing.

Not for me
This 2 tiered layered pick is just weird. When you're digging into a solo, there is a clicking sound when you go from the black part to the red. Maybe fine for strumming, or if you only use the very tip of the pick, but not if you like to dig in and use more of the pick. Here's something that I've found for keeping a pick from sliding or turning in my fingers: I use a Fender Heavy and on the fat part where I hold it between my finger and thumb, I take an xacto blade and make cross hatches on both sides. This makes for a nice pick that won't slide around.

Tried it because recommended by Cory Wong, best pick ever. Never come back

I always like Dava, because its thick, so I can hold better and not easy to drop while I am playing.

Perfect grip and ergonomics. Nice hardness. A blast to play. A bit expensive but worth the asking price.
