Does not dry hair. Adds shine. Adds moisture eventhough there is no opening to add water for steam. It is advanced technology that works. The tip stays cool. It is very easy to use. Barrell size very good for short layered hair. Hair takes shape and loses flat, just washed look. Worth the higher price to me.

I cannot believe I never had this curling iron before. I have been missing out. It heats and curls fast. The long barrel allows for longer hair to fit. It did not snag my hair like my expensive hot tools that had a flimsy stand. I love that the stand is fixed and does not collapse like others. Easy to use and love the color of the lighted buttons that are easy to read, unlike hot tools dial you can barely see the numbers. The handle is also comfortable and seems very well made. So far I am really impressed.

This is the best curling iron I’ve ever used. The long barrel is the perfect size for my long hair, and fits each strand perfectly. You can tell this curling iron is well made. The lock feature is one the best things about this iron. No more accidentally turning it off! The coating on the barrel itself leaves my hair feeling silky instead of dried out. No complaints!

I'll start by saying I really liked the performance of my Babyliss Pro I had been using since Aug 2024. The only reason I went back on the hunt for a new one is that the Babyliss does not have auto shut-off (as my prior few models had) and I was weary of getting to the end of my street and heading back home to be sure I turned it off. Reviews on the Bio Ionic were some of the best I had seen and it had every feature I sought: digital with multiple heat settings and auto shut-off. The longer barrel was but a bonus for my long hair that hits mid back. So, I was quite excited to try it out. The first thing I noticed and was quite disappointed by was that the built in stand didn't prevent the top several inches of the rod from resting on the counter surface. That certainly wasn't great, but I got massively frustrated the first time I used it because I kept unintentionally changing the temperature up or down as I tried to wind each curl. Changed the position of my hand and very intentionally attempted to NOT keep doing it to no avail. Ughhh. I was so annoyed. I was going to keep it a bit longer and try to find a method that didn't cause the buttons to move but also realized that the back parts of my hair weren't even getting a curl. I made sure that it was on the right temp (360) and that it had been on that setting for a good minute (you know, since the last time I accidentally changed it) and it still came out as straight as a sheet. My babyliss was still on the counter and I turned it on to my normal temp (355) and did the same section of hair with a perfect very loose curl. As a point of information, my stylist says my hair is "fine but I have a ton of it" I do use smaller sections in the front that I am trying to achieve a bit more of a curl than the back where I am just trying to smooth it and give it a bit it a wave and I have been successful in achieving that with Babyliss (3 models), Hot Tools (2 models), and Kristen Ess curling irons in that 360-ish range without any problem. Why this one couldn't do it I don't know, but between that, the stand not keeping the hot rod off the counter, and the inadvertent temp changes, it is sadly being returned. Glad others like it and I sure hope I can find my new favorite soon.

This is the best iron on the market! Gets hot fast, love that you can lock the heating button so you aren’t changing the heat or accidentally turning it off while using it! The long barrel makes it so nice for curling longer just! Would recommend to any and all!

The biggest problem with this curling iron is the connection from the handle to the wand has a crevice where hair gets caught. The only way to release is the hair is to pull and break the hair. I have both sizes of this curling iron because I like the long barrel, but they need to figure out how to fix this problem.

I first tried this curling iron while on vacation with a girlfriend who had brought it along. I borrowed it once and immediately noticed how incredibly smooth the barrel was. My hair didn’t catch or snag at all, which has happened to me with other curling irons. The long barrel is the real game changer. My hair is shoulder length, and I was able to curl the entire section in one pass instead of wrapping in multiple sections. It made styling faster and gave me a really nice, even curl. Because the barrel is longer, you can take slightly wider sections of hair and wrap them once around the barrel. It speeds up styling a lot! It’s definitely a little pricey, but after trying it I decided to splurge and buy one for myself, and I’m so glad I did! Best for: shoulder-length to long hair where the extra barrel length really makes a difference

My daughter is in dance and needs her hair curled for shows. She has long hair and we have struggled to get the perfect curl with short barreled less expensive curling irons. I am very pleased with this curling iron. It has cut down the time it takes to curl her hair in half.

I love this curling iron. The extra long barrel is good for long hair especially for my extremely unmanageable hair. Also I was worried it would be too heavy but it's quite lightweight. And my favourite bonus is that you can lock the temperature so you don't accidentally turn it up or down while using it (which I tend to do a lot).
