Bisto Favourite Gravy Granules (500g)

Nice surprise wasn't expecting two - and two is defiantly better than one - just love Bistro's Gray Granules

Grew up with Bisto powder and this product is so much better makes fabulous gravy. Bisto Granules aren't always available in the stores.

Many of these Bisto brand gravy bases are vegetarian-friendly, and that's why I order them. They are delicious! Gotta figure they would be, right? Because Bisto is a British product, and the Brits eat a lot of gravy! Now, when making up a batch of these gravies, as with most cooking from convenience products, I always doctor it up a little. For one thing, I use a little bigger measure of the granules than called for in the instructions, and before stirring up the mix I just quickly dip my small whisk lightly into a jar of vegetarian stock base--the one I use is called Better Than Bouillon and it has hydrolyzed soy protein, yeast extract and maltodextrin, among other things. This makes my gravy dark brown and gives it a little extra richness. So your mileage may vary, as you may or may not do doctor-up cooking as I do. But try this brand--I think if you like delicious gravy and convenience, you'll like Bisto.

Almost as remembered from back in the days when I lived in Portsmouth, England. Wonderful on various meats and 'toad-in-the-hole'.....
