Just Nice In Every Way!
Our kitchen faucet has been a piece of junk for years. No water flow, usually leaked when turned off, developed a leak at the base, at the bottom of the swivel. So, we shopped hard. I brought the wife back here and we shopped together. She wanted a pull down faucet because our daughter has one. I definitely didn't want a Price-Pfister this time. It was about as easy to install as it could have been. Getting the old faucet out was actually harder. The one snag was our fault. Our (under sink) water filter's kind of a piece of junk, too. It has one of those retarded saddle clamps. You install that over the water line and the first time you turn it off, it punches a hole in your water line. It never did leak, but I had to go to the hardware store and play musical fittings. I had to come up with a T fitting with male on one end, female on the other end and a different size on the third leg. I ended up needing two fittings and a short piece of copper tubing and one extra nut and compression fitting. Had it not been for that, this would have been a breeze! The fittings on the hot and cold supply lines(on this faucet) don't use compression sleeves; they use rubber grommets. MUCH better!! The pull down hose connects to another hose coming out the bottom of the faucet. This was so ingenious! It literally snaps together! You just push the two hoses together and it's connected! (There's a spring loaded release mechanism so it can be taken back apart.) It's held down on the center hole by a nut. Moen provided a plastic tool with a different size on each end. You put the right end over the nut and put a screwdriver through the hole at the other end and tighten it firmly. The base plate they give you covers the other sink holes on a three hole sink. You're done! It's massive, impressive, and pretty gorgeous! We chose the stain resistant stainless steel one and it matches our sink perfectly and looks kind of "futuristic". The head has a very free moving swivel. On the head there's a flip button | lever that changes it from stream to spray. It goes back to stream by itself when you turn it off. It also has a button that adds water pressure when you push it. It also returns to less water when you turn the faucet off. The lever must go on the right side, the instructions say. It's installed and assembled and the whole thing with the lever drops into the sink. To use it, you move the lever to the right to turn it on and you rotate it up for hot or down for cold; it moves 90 degrees. The pull down function is real nice. They provide you with a weight that snaps onto the pull down hose, which is under the sink. Ours gets slightly stuck on a dishwasher drain hose. I need to get back under there some day and just move that hose out of the way. If it weren't for that, it would be perfectly smooth and perfect. DO NOT get the soap dispenser you can purchase with it on its page. There's another on made by Kraus that's much better. The nozzle is much longer and solves the problem of soap all over the counter and sink that many reviewers complain about with the shorter nozzle. It held an entire 22.6 ounce bottle of Dawn when we filled it, even though the docs say 17 ounce capacity. It went into the hole in the back right corner of the sink that we had left over from the sprayer that was part of the old faucet. And, though I was worried, it had absolutely no problem fitting next to the sink bowl underneath, which is another problem reviewers complained about. Just couldn't really be more pleased! It's a stiff price, but anything stainless steel is. The old "You get what you pay for" thing. Switching between and maintaining stream and spray modes
The Moen Model 7864EWBL looks good and was easy to install. My wife found the Wave Sensor to be a little bit annoying as, whenever she was cleaning the sink, it was easy to accidentally turn the water on, and, in fact, was tough to avoid accidentally turning the water on. The sensor does work as advertised and works well if your hands are dirty and you don't want to touch the faucet handle to turn on the water. We are just going to have to learn to turn the sensor off when cleaning and then turn it back on. The biggest dislike about the faucet is the inability for the faucet to maintain the spray mode at low water pressure and flow . The water has to be on a higher pressure and flow for it to remain in the spray mode and not return to the stream mode. My wife likes to rinse dishes off hands free of the nozzle in the spray mode with the nozzle in place in the faucet (not pulled out) and, because it only sprays in high pressure and flow mode, it ends up splattering water everywhere. To solve this problem, I have placed a 1/2" wide by about 2" flat length rubber band over the hand toggle switch on the nozzle that holds the spray mode in place at low water pressure and flow. Picture attached. Other than the rubber band on the new faucet looking a little tacky, it works great. Don't know why Moen engineered a pressure sensitive toggle switch rather than just a toggle switch that would stay in the spray or stream mode at whatever water pressure and flow level you choose.

Stunning and working
Although it takes almost a month to get it, the faucet is stunning and working well. Attention: if you have a cat that can get close to the faucet, beware your cat will set motion sensor to run water. Good news, this faucet runs motion censored water for limited time only. How do i know it? I cook and wash dishes a lot. When i used motion sensors without touching the faucet to wash dishes it turns off in about two minutes. And yes, for motion sense to work you need batteries.

Purchased this faucet after my motion sensor old faucet died. This faucet is great, the motion sensor is in a location to the side so you don't accidently trigger the faucet. Installation was really simple, and the batteries are separate from the sensor control box and can be mounted in a more convenient location, making changing battery's much easier than other brands! Another great feature I like is that you can disable the motion sensor by simply holding your hand in from my of the sensor, instead of needing to go under the cupboard to the control box. All around a great faucet and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hands free faucet!

Only had it for a couple weeks, but so far it Works beautifully. The gold is pretty strong considering all of our handles are a lighter gold, but it just means the faucet looks like a main feature. Love the motion sensor - so important for me, as I bake cakes

Replaced an older cheap faucet as well as the sink in the kitchen. The difference between faucets is amazing. The new Moen looks great and so far functions really well. Smooth operation and the stream is excellent. A little pricey but seems to be worth it. I would recommend it.

Was not a DIY installation, at least not for me. Once installed, the motion sensor worked great. The App and connection to WIFI/Alexa was a little more challenging but persistence paid off. Looks great.
