orange tree sap
Dabbed a white terry cloth on the polish and was shocked to see fluorescent orange. Spot tested this on a favorite pair of high-end shoes. Product appeared orange in color discoloring the beautiful natural look of the shoes stitching. For some reason the leather (rather dry leather at that) failed to absorb any of the polish. All I was left to buff out was a sticky film reminiscent of tree sap. The end result? - Orange stitches holding together dry leather. Absolutely no benefit whatsoever. I prefer to purchase the highest quality leather shoes available, while expecting them to last a long time. I clean, condition, and polish them in order to keep them looking great and also to prolong their life expectancy. Over the years, I've used kiwi products because they work decent, but more so because they are the only shoe care products commonly available. I thought I'd look for an alternative. Obviously I need to research what the pro cobblers use because this polish from Sof Sole is definitely not what I'm looking for. Sof Sole seems to be well established. Maybe there was a supply of this product deemed defective, yet somehow manged to be sold through online distributors. Such has been known to occur.

Great polish
Much better than the kiwi brown (that looks almost black on my brown shoes) I will always use the sof sole it holds up well and provides a good shine.

No color in it!
Check the photo! That is my finger after rubbing hard in the wax. I 'waxed' my boots without brown to help with scrapes or scratches! Maybe it will help with moisture on a rainy day?
