Pros: It didn’t harm my fish, it kept my water looking pretty nice it was fast to put in 1 bottle had bacteria and the other had water conditioner so it’s two and one, great bang for your buck The only conI see is that it doesn’t last that long since the bottles are small.

I bought this product to speed up the cycling process in a new betta fish tank, and to dechlorinate my water so it would be safe for my newly added fish. Within a couple of days of adding the Quick Start to speed up my fishless cycling, I saw the spikes in ammonia, nitrates, and lastly the growth of the nitrates. For me, this product worked effortlessly, and after having the fish for a month now, I plan to buy more stress coat in the future. A week ago, my fish tank cracked and leaked out a good amount of water, but after adding stress coat to the backup tank (a really large Tupperware bin), my fish was calm, did not freak out, and lived through quite a stressful experience. After saving what water I could from his tank, and saving the filter media, I added new water with more stress coat, and he's now better than ever, and even more lively than before. Also, if you are starting a new tank, this product would be perfect for you because of the small size. The amount of chemical is about the size of a film canister, and since you only use quick start once, I did not feel guilty about the price/amount of chemical I would not be using. I highly recommend this product for both the price and the size for setting up a new tank.

Great size for a 5 gallon aquarium! Not enough for anything bigger.

A must have when adding new fish or doing water changes. This is my 2nd purchase of these light startup bottles, but I think I'm going to have to purchase the larger bottles since I've added two additional tanks. I religiously use both when I do water changes to remove any chlorine. I currently have 2 20 gallon long tanks- one for 2 aquatic turtles and the other used for breeding guppies and growing aquatic plants both as food for the turtles. I also have a 5-gallon glo fish tank. All inhabitants seem healthy and happy and I know I owe part of that to these water conditioners. The item is fairly inexpensive and I feel better knowing I am removing unwanted, harmful chemicals for the animals. Highly recommended!!!!!

I ordered this item going by the image shown on the product page thinking it will be the similar product from the company. But the bottles were very different and were packed in loose cling wrap. Therefore I’m not 100% sure about the authenticity of product.
