The dimmer for the right intensity and off timer must be started manually
These are perfect for my winter grows of flowers, I start from seeds and these will for out perfect. These should be great for herb growing as well.

Very much love the timer!!!!
I use this as supplemental light for my vanda orchid in winter and I can't tell you how much I LOVE having the timer built into this unit. We have a tortoise living with us as well and a grow space for orchids and I think I have at least 7 timers for lights and they are a pain because they are bulky plugs and clog up my outlets.IThis makes this small, on-site timer a god-send. I have mine on 12, I think the other choices are 3 and 6 hours-- you just choose your light duration and,in the first day, turn the light on at the time you always want it to click on. It will light for the duration chosen, then turn off until the next day at the same time. I LOVE it and I wish they made full spectrum white lights like this because I would jump in line to buy!IThese lights are crazy birght for the size (I believe there's a dimmer-- read product description...I just set mine a month ago and haven't looked at it since...just trusting it to go on and off like it has been) The stems are nicely adjustable, the clamp is nice and strong. It's a really nice light. I've been super pleased.

Fantastic for African violets
Got these for my African violets for cold weather as I they tend to die off with lack of sunshine. Happy to report one even bloomed in December! Bonus my Christmas cactus bloomed as well! I like the timer and it’s funny I can see the lights go on in the dining room from my bedroom window in the wee hours of the morning. Very happy with this product! I purchased 2 sets. In the Spring I’ll see how seedlings like them.

Poor clamp but decent light
Does it light up well? Yes, and the timer feature is great. Is it helping my Desert Rose? I don’t see much improvement. I think she needs warmth AND light; these lights provide no, nada, zip heat. Can you adjust the arms? Pretty well. Can I keep it clamped to anything useful? No, the lights are a lot heavier than the clamp can support at most angles. The clamp wore out its ‘springiness’ within a few weeks so I’ve succumbed to laying it on the floor until I can figure something out. You can see in the pictures the bench and window ledges that I clamped it to originally. Now it falls off before I can even take a picture.

So, I don't have a green thumb, but this seems to be helping.
We've been trying to grow starters for our garden. No luck. Between the rabbits and my ability to kill anything, we're on year two at our new house and we have absolutely nothing to show for it. I've been using this for about a week now and I'm starting to notice better growth on what starters we have left. It is incredibly bright; I wouldn't recommend putting it where you have to stare at it. We moved it (last pic) somewhere a little less conspicuous and we're happy with how things are looking now.

Good feature rich grow light, with little bit of mixed result
I have used this to grow the basil and thyme indoor. The basil plats are growing relatively well. After a month the basil plant are about 1.5 inches tall with 1" broad leafs. However, for theThyme plants almost all sprouted, but now after month, most have withered and dies away.I have turned the light on 12 hours/day and daily watered the plants, identicallyThe light source was placed about 4-6 above the seedling. So, I am disappointed with theresult on the thyme. Therefore, this grow light may or may not work for all plants. So, your mileage may vary.

Its OK
We used this light to start seed indoor for the spring grow season. While the seed did sprout and grow, it made the plantlings very leggy, even with the lights very close to the plants. They also didn't get very large before needing to be transplanted outdoors. It also produces a fair amount of heat, which is great if you're keeping plants warm through the winter, but it will necessitate more frequent watering.I would say that this is a good supplemental light for established plants that prefer indirect sun.

Arms could be stiffer.
Easy to set up and use plus they included a free pair of gloves which was nice, however, the arms are not as stiff as I was expecting making positioning the lights difficult because they don't easily stay in place.
