I purchased this product for nasal irrigation and to keep my sinuses nice and clean especially with Spring almost here. Unfortunately, this salt is far from soothing. Even when dissolving the recommended amount, one fourth of a teaspoon, into warm water I find my sinuses burning from how strong is the solution. It is not a pleasant experience and has left me worse off than how I was before the rinse. I am left with incredibly sensitive sinuses, frequent sneezing, and a headache. If strong salt rinses is something you are interested in then, by all means, give it a try. Sadly, I am left with close to a full nine ounces of it. Other than that, it is very difficult to recommend this to anyone, and I strongly advise to softer alternatives such as NeilMed packets. In addition, when dissolving the salt in warm water there are always some pink particles that are floating in the solution. I tried dissolving the salt in hot water and left to cool, but I was still met with particles left in my Neti pot. Needless to say, this is unsettling especially when considering this is being flushed through your sinuses.
