Q: the sticker in the front is different now, can any confirm if it the same olive oil who won last year award?

I just received this olive oil. This is the producer that won one of last years competitions. However, the label on the back tells a different story. The label on the back shows the vintage. In this case 2010, not the award winning vintage. Unlike wine, olive oil deteriorates with age and a four year old bottle at $27.51 is not acceptable. You must be very careful when purchasing international olive oils in the U.S.A.

Some reviewers say it's fruity. I guess they mean it has an abundance of flavor of the fresh pressed olives! This is the most complex, delicious olive oil I've ever tried. I taste tomatoes, fresh grass, and a peppery finish. But definitely NOT from additives. This is a very pungent evoo. It has a bite that makes it my go to choice for bread dipping, pouring over pasta, or taking straight by the spoonful. I would NOT waste it by cooking with it. It is to be savored fresh.
