Not for winter cold - Great for heat & humidity
Wanted these to wick moisture at 15 below in Alaska. They did wick moisture, but they stayed cold. Oops! Burrrr! A cold backside does not make for a fun day of back country property shopping. They were perfect for Shreveport in July under linen pants, however. Stayed dry, cool as I could be, and comfy all day. I washed them in the hotel sink and they were dry by morning.

The standard for technical underwear
Super lightweight, fastest drying, super comfortable for outdoor activities like backpacking. There's a reason these aren't cheap -- nothing else compares. I haven't had mine long enough to say how they hold up over time. Not sure why people complain about the tag. Yes, it's big, but you can get rid of it by cutting off two tiny threads. Done. It's not worth mentioning or stressing about.

No chaffing
Absolutely a game changer. No thigh rub and so comfortable. Even when on period!

Love these for hiking.
Comfortable. Nice for hiking. No wedgies.

Comfortable
First purchased for traveling only, but the panties are so comfortable they have become an everyday article of clothing. Change in manufacturing has not always been ideal. A narrow elastic banding replaced the wide lace band I preferred around the top.

Comfortable & stays put!
I decided to try these after reading about them on a FB post. Not the prettiest but comfortable & they do not ride up. I hate the tag. They’d be perfect if they’d discontinued the tag.

Long lasting and comfortable
I’ve been wearing the same set of ExOffcio briefs for over 10 years. (Separate warm wash, delicate cycle and line dry.) Several pairs now need replacing - because of the cost of the ExOffcio brand, I’ve tried replacing them with other brands. Nope. I’m now back to ExOffcio - they are amazingly comfortable and based on my previous experience they last for ages. I’m going to continue to pay through the nose for these underwear. They are not attractive, but comfort is more important to me.

more flattering than most
I purchased these panties for traveling in hot weather. They are more flattering than most other active wear as they cling well and are low rise cut. You defiantly want to hand wash them or use a mesh bag to protect the fabric from damage in a machine. I do not believe they will hold up well if the washing instructions are not followed. ExOfficio is a brand that I know and trust. I am happy I made these panties a part of my travel wardrobe!

ExOfficio compared to Balanced Tech
Hi! Will be reviewing ExOfficio and comparing it to Balanced Tech. So let's get right into it - I sweat A LOT due to anxiety/nerves, and I've finally decided to buy a pair of moisture wicking underwear. I am at 136 pounds and about 5"2, and I got a medium in both brands. I found that both these brands are fairly popular/similar and have their own opinions about them. Yet there is one obvious choice for me. Below you can find mine broken down simply:ExOfficio:+ Sweating less- Less affordable- Not seamless but could be worse- Less comfortable than B.T / does not come in packs- Tight around tush area-/+ - Tag didn't bother me but could bother someone elseBalanced Tech:+ Sweating significantly less+ Super comfy band and material feel+ More affordable and comes in packs+ No tag- Tight around tush area / tight around thighs / band is a little snug- Not seamless and less seamless than ExOfficioAll in all - I would pick Balanced Tech over ExOfficio. Mainly due to the price and feel. Something about Balanced Tech feels so comfortable, even if it is snug in most areas. The material also looks and feels different. I am also the type of person who doesn't like to feel their underwear but surprisingly with Balanced Tech, I feel fine! Also, to put into perspective - for the price of two ExOfficios you can get six Balanced Techs. I don't see it worth the trouble shelling out for ExOfficio when Balanced Tech's material feels nice and is less expensive. At the end of the day I seem to sweat less with Balanced Tech, or when I'm most nervous it seems to be less swampy down there. But when it comes down to, it's all preference and depends on how much a person sweats. I would personally recommend trying Balanced Tech first before trying out anything else.

Great travel underwear! 🩲
I was nervous about figuring out what size to get, but I got it right on the first try! I typically wear a size 7/8 in the Fruit of the Loom breathable underwear and a 0/1 in Torrid’s underwear. I bought the XL in ExOfficio and they are absolutely perfect! I’m a size 14/16 in pants, weigh 209 lbs, and am 5’8”. These underwear have good stretch, don’t have a constricting waistband, don’t feel like they’ll slide down on me during the day, aren’t baggy, and the leg holes aren’t too tight. I’m very pleased! Wish they were available in more colors.

Good... BUT
I own 8 pairs of ExOfficio bikini briefs. I purchased the first pair based on another review that praised the wicking properties of the fabric. I'm an avid hiker, and a garment's wicking properties are crucial to one's comfort during and after 8 to 10 hours of solid physical effort. These briefs perform amazingly well. You can travel with two pair, wash one by hand and wear the other, they dry in an hour. I tried this when camping at 8,000 feet on a cool and cloudy day, and I was impressed with how quickly they dried. A few points to consider:1. Size and style - I first purchased the boy shorts. Not good. The legs don't stay put, the fabric bunches up. The bikini brief is really a mid-rise bikini, not too low and not too high. Very comfortable, and no panty line. As for size, I'm 5'6" and weight 118 lbs, on the slender side. I purchased two pairs size Medium, and regretted it - see below. The rest I've purchased are size Large.2. If you dry these bikini briefs in the dryer, even on LOW, the elastic SHRINKS and they won't fit. I was so disappointed, especially after spending $15 per pair. I've sized up to Large, wash them in the washer using a lingerie bag and cold water, and HANG them to dry. They fit fine.3. On two pair the stitching on the elastic is fraying, and they've been washed approximately 10 times (lingerie bag, etc.) I think ExOfficio got it right with the fabric, but the quality of the elastic (shrinking) and the construction of the garment (frayed stitching) need to improve to justify the price.

I love these undies.
These are the BEST undies. You won’t be disappointed. The fabric is very comfortable and dries quickly.

Dries overnight, even in the rainforest!
Bought these for a trip to Peru. I spent a few days in the jungle where it was so humid that the dry wool socks I hung in my room overnight were damp by morning...but the exofficio undies I washed and hung were dry! At least as dry as anything could be in such humidity and no breeze. To compare, I washed a pair of normal undies (cotton blend?) the same night and they did not dry for 3 days! These weren't the most flattering fit on me, but I would definitely take them for travel and camping. They were really easy to wash in the shower or sink the night before, and most importantly, actually dried in a short amount of time. I imagine if you had them outside in the breeze or sun, they would probably be dry within the hour. Just remember to roll them up in a towel after washing to get more extra moisture out before hanging them up.
