Excellent book for beginners and intermediate stage folks managing their personal finance
This book (post Covid edition a bonus) is excellent in its content and style of narration by the author. She dips into her vast lived experience in the field of personal finance, having served on many Govt and non-Govt committees and has insights on the subjects she covers in the book. The narration style is like what one would get as advice from an elderly family member who's lived a rich live and shares all the dos and donts on personal finance. Finance can be a dry subject to write about, but this book is a very good read for beginners and those in the early to mid-careers (probably non-finance professionals). There are plenty of real-life anecdotes the author uses to drive home her point, which makes an otherwise dry subject interesting. Many how-tos much step-by-step guidance will make it worth one's time and will likely change one's money habits if practiced as advised. The paper and print quality are good and one can always come back to read specific sections on personal finance as and when they need to. Highly recommended reading. Wish I could buy a hardcover edition which would last longer.
