Linkax Basin Sink Waste Tap Sink Plug Slotted Bathroom Push Pop Up Click Clack Sprung with Overflow

I bought this to replace the pitted and scruffy looking old one which was original from when the house was built in 2003. I was a bit of a job getting the old one out as the plumber had used copious amounts of plumbers mate to seal the old one in. Thoroughly cleaned away the old silicon putty and fitted the new sink waste just using the silicon washers supplied. Made sure all the fittings were tightened, just used the original fitting and pipes. Pushed the pop up click clack down turned on the water and voilà the water stayed in the sink with no leaks, pressed it down again and the sink emptied with no leaks in the pipe fittings. The only downside is that my wife likes it so much she has just ordered three more for me to fit on the weekend.

I bought this having tried and failed to repair a different type of pop-up waste that proved impossible to buy a replacement sealing washer for. Ridiculous, 50p worth of washer preventing something from working as it should. Eventually I decided to purchase a replacement one and liked this style, where the plunger remains above the sink level - no chance of it getting stuck, like the old one did! The reviews were good, the price was good, so I thought I'd try it.The worst thing was getting the old one out, but having done that and cleaned up the sink, fitting the new one was simple. No silicon or plumbers mate needed. I was able to tighten it all up by hand and there were no leaks. It works! The only vaguely plumber thing I had to do was cut a section of waste pipe out so that it lined up with the new position of the waste outlet. The new part comes down lower underneath the sink than the old one.

The fitting's appearance is impressive - nice shiny chrome. The fitting was very easy to install - although I included a generous silicone mastic bead to the joint between basin outlet and underside of the waste fitting as the basin outlet sides sloped quite considerably. However, all tightened up easily and fitted snugly into place with no leaks! I did purchase a very wide opening adjustable spanner to tighten up the bolted connection but hardly needed it - as there is a long chromed sleeve extending below the actual nut section which allows a good grip for tightening. Well recommended.

Bought this to replace a cheap one that was fitted to new bathroom 6 years ago, but failed due to poor quality. This one is much better from the start!. Nice and heavy, and seems good quality. Easy replacement as fit was the same. Took ages to remove and clean all the silicone off from the original, then this one fitted in no time (well...10 minutes maybe!). Didn't bother with silicone, just used the supplied rubber gaskets and hand tightened with no leaks. Very happy, and well pleased.

It is longer than the normal version used in the UK and may not be easy to fit in some cases.

Purchased this item to replace a Bristan Pop up waste which was well worn, have to say the quality of this item was as goods as the Bristan waste which was twice the price. The seals supplied were top class made the fitting very easy, just added a little silicon to ensure a watertight seal.

This is the 2nd of these I have bought. I previously bought one a year or so ago for my main bathroom and now have purchased a second for my en-suite. Simple to install, does the job and looks good at a fair price. What’s not to like.

The product arrived on time and is of good quality, easy to install just a pity it was made in China.
