Upgraded Power Strip with individual power switches that light up when powered on
I'm a IT professional who has been installing equipment within network racks for over 28 years. One of my standard practices is to include a powerful UPS at the bottom of the rack with a mounted 19" power strip to connect all the rack devices. A pain point has always been trying to disconnect power on a single device because they would all share the same strip with no viable means to disconnect an individual device without pulling power from the device or unplugging the device from the power strip. The Pyle PDBC70 solves this problem by providing separate power switches for each device up to 9 devices. They are also clearly labeled 1-9 on the front of the switch and lights up when powered on. I can now easily identify each device and cycle power on demand. This is a must have upgrade for anyone responsible for network racks with associated power strips. This 1U unit is light weight, has a long heavy duty power cord, is easy to install and adds functionality not found in a standard power strip. This is my new "goto" power strip for all network rack projects.

Good surge protector
So far so good. Got this to keep all the wires organized and clean behind entertainment stand. It is nice to be able to plug in items and turn off with switch when not in use. Plugs are well spaced so things fit without being squeezed together. Also it looks good with the rest of the equipment.

Why did I suffer so long without this?
If you have a bunch of peripherals attached to your computer you can end up with a mangled mess of cables and power supplies that seems impossible to tame.I went looking for a solution and found this. Problem solved.I placed it into a monitor shelf and now all cables are nicely hidden behind the desk.I now no longer have to reach behind a bunch of different peripherals and feel my way around until I find the power switch to turn things on and off. This is so much easier. It would’ve been nice if it came with adhesive labels so I could know which switch controls which peripheral, but I’ve found that I’ve now memorized the numbers so it’s all good.Perhaps a version with a digital scribble strip would be the way to go but I’m happy with it as is.

Hole spacing is off
When fit into the server rack the screw hole spacing is just a little off from standard 1U, making it a little high or a little low depending on which hole you use. Would be a problem if you’re trying to sandwich between two other devices. Otherwise seems of fair quality for the price.

As Expected
19" Rack-mount Power supply with individual switches for each of 9 ports. It works as expected. I have a mini rack (20U) on a desk in my office and although I don't really need the individual switches, I think they are cool. I will definitely get a second one when I set up my radio rack, and might get some for the server racks in my garage.

Very useful for studio monitors
I got this so I can turn on everything at my mixing console individually without reaching all over the place. Especially reaching back behind the studio monitors to turn each one on individually is rather annoying. This helps a lot. If I'm being completely honest, there are probably times when I didn't even mess with something because I didn't feel like turning on my audio interfaces and studio monitors and all that and then turning them back off but this puts them all right in one spot that's easily reachable. Definitely recommend something similar if you have a studio setup like mine.

False description and unsafe
What's good about it:The power cord is firmly attached. This is a hard requirement of mine for a PDU.The wire in the power cord is 2.5mm^2 (uses IEC 60228 standard), which is slightly larger than the advertised 14 gauge.Considering the other issues with this unit, I checked the wiring with an outlet tester and a multimeter. It tested OK.So, what's wrong with it?There's no UL listing label on it. In fact, there's no label on it about being certified by any recognized authority or meeting any safety standard. The power cable is too short. It's advertised as being 6' long, but it's barely 4'.The feet were attached. This is advertised as being rackmount. It should be delivered in a state where it can be put into a rack. The top screws stick up, making it taller than 1.75", causing it to not fit in a standard 1RU space. They should be countersunk into the lid.The rack-mount holes are improperly spaced. The vertical separation needs to be greater. The circuit breaker was loose. It took only a few seconds to tighten the nut. This item is advertised as being a Surge Protector up to 150 Joules. This requires components that are not present within the device.Every component that's attached to the chassis is held in place with hot-melt glue. This is a strong indication of cheap/shoddy assembly. The internal wiring is 16 gauge. This could cause some long-term issues with reliability and some issues with high-current devices starting up.With just a few dollars more invested in it, this would be a great PDU. As it is, it’s not worth buying.I’m returning this and suggesting to Amazon that it be unlisted as the description is very wrong and it’s unsafe.
