Vacucraft Electric Vacuum Seal Coffee Container

I love this idea -- vacuum sealed coffee after every time I open it. Unfortunately, this unit cracked right in the front soon after I started using it (yes, I read and followed the instructions exactly before using it). I didn't get a chance to repackage it and return it within 30 days due to out of state travel conflicts, so I'm stuck with it. I did, however, put a piece of heavy duty clear plastic packing tape across the crack, and it seems to be holding the vacuum effectively, at least for now. So I'm still on the hunt for that perfect coffee bean safe.

This product (Perfectness) actually worked well for two weeks but soon after the container developed cracks that leaked air on all four sides rendering it useless! I contacted the company direct and they told me there was a newer container model that would fix the problem and it would be available in a couple of weeks at no charge. Three months later and after several phone calls/emails, I have yet to see the replacement container!! Needless to say I have lost faith with Vacucraft. If by some chance I eventually receive a new and improved container, I will let you know! In the mean time, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Seems like it either works or it doesn't (profound, right?). Mine has worked great, I've owned in for a few months with no problems. I am very picky about fresh coffee beans, and this definitely has helped prolong the shelf life of my beans.Having said that, a friend ordered one after seeing mine, and his was DOA- it would not seal. So I guess it's luck of the draw. As long as you can return it if it's defective, I think it's worth a shot.UPDATE 10/2017 - It's about three years later and this unit is still going strong.

I am happy with this container. I can see the sides dented a bit with the seal intact, and the air removed. This is the second one I have purchased. One for espresso beans, and the other for regular beans. I do think it keeps the beans fresher than just a container with a press on lid.

I really was hoping this unit would be a great way to store our coffee. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did nit account for the vacuum pressure it creates. The pressure is so good the thin plastic walls of the unit crack under pressure thus letting air back in.. Dont waste ur time like we did. Although, Amazon was great during the returns process.

This product is not worth your money! My first one broke after a month or so and the second has done the same. The plastic container will crack due to the vacuum pressure and will no longer hold a seal. Good idea and works well until it breaks.

This is the 2nd one we've owned. It runs on only 3 AA batteries. Be sure NOT to over stuff you COFFEE/COFFEE BEANS as the pressure and vacuum could 'crack' the thin casing. Otherwise, this is a neat way to store and keep your coffee fresh.
