Thai martial arts action sequel. After the events of the previous film, Tien (Tony Jaa) is captured by Lord Rajasena (Sarunyoo Wongkrachang) and his men and taken away to be tortured to death. But Tien is saved from the brink of death once again by Pim (Primrata Dechudom), Mhen (Petchai Wongkamlao) and the Kana Khone villagers, who rebuild his strength and teach him the powers of Buddhist meditation. However, before he is able to make a full recovery, his arch rival returns to challenge Tien to a final duel.

Even worse than ONG BAK 2 (the beginning)
I love ONG BAK 1 and would highly recommend it to martial arts enthusiasts . On the merit of that I got the 2nd one called " In the Beginning " but that was a bit of a flop for me . Thinking No. 3 which I`m reviewing now could `t be any worse I got that one ..... bad mistake . Even worse that No 2 . Cheap aggression , dark and immature brutality . Anyone liking this can`t be right in their minds . Such a waste of a good martial artist ! That`s why Tony Jaa will fall into oblivion whilst the stylish Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan will live on . Get the first one which will honour Tony Jaa as the others will just drag down his legacy.

Just okay!!
Tony Jaa - Excellent action martial Artist. After watching all of his other films I had high hopes for this and feel a little let down. I think it may be more because it is less action that usual and delves a bit more into a magical/mystical story. With all that said I did enjoy it but think that you need to be in the right frame of mind when you watch it. There are still a lot of signature Tony Jaa moves and when there is action it is still very good. Seeing as it is the third one (although I would say more like the second of two as the first Ong Bak I remember as being an entirely different story, or maybe I just need to watch it again!) then you should see this film - just start by not expecting too much and you may enjoy it more.

Unfortunate Let Down
Let's be honest, Jaa's choreographic skills are unparalleled. Fans of his work don't expect the most captivating plot providing he is doing what he does best. That said, this 3rd release lets you down from a great height. It just doesn't seem cohesive to the other 2 and dare I say the fighting even gets a little repetitive.Like all great martial arts films, you should really leave them were they are. The 2nd was a push and this 3rd one just went too far.If you want to see Jaa as the best thing to have happened to martial arts cinema since Bruce Lee, watch The Warrior King instead.

not the best ending.
This has got the action but the plot is a let down though.

Noy-Ne-Noy
It was OK. It did feel a bit less rough and tough than the previous film and when it finished you were ready for the end without being too much worried it didn't give any clues as to what happened next in the characters lives. There's definatley more bizzare moments in this movie, but the height of them has to be the Noy-Ne-Noy song. What the blooming eck was all that about!?

do not listen to the negative reviews
The negetive reviews on this movie are not justified at all, this is a brilliant martial arts movie, I did enjoy the first 2 ong bak movies and ong bak - the beginning, this movie does not have as many fighting/action scenes, however the action is still plentiful and spectacular. The movie also focuses on a more spiritual side and yobs just coming from the pub probably won't understand it therefore the negative reviews.. but trust me this film is excellent if you are a real fan of martial arts culture.
