Awesome kitchen shoes
These are awesome. They took a little while to break in but worth the pain. Wear them with some older insoles for a week or two so they can stretch a little. I’ve been a chef for 25 years. I’ve been through many different shoes. These aren’t cheap but they’re well worth the money. I wear the for 10-12 hours a day 5-6 days a week. They’re extremely comfortable. Slip resistance is great. They fit true to size and look good to boot. Not like the duck feet clogs largely available out there.

Good quality and comfort.
Dansko made improvements to their shoe. It is definitely more comfortable than the older versions.

Update: would buy again - good shoe but fit and sizing a little confusing for 1st time buyer
UPDATE: Ended up getting the size 40 and while it felt big at first, I got used to it in 2-3 days and have worn it daily at work for the last year and have really come to like the shoe-my feet stay dry, there's adequate support, and honestly it they've just become a joy to walk short distances in (clinic / hospital setting). I almost want to give it 5 stars but since it takes a little care going up and downstairs with them and the mobility is not perfect 4-5 stars. I like them enough that I would buy again I bought the shoe size that said 8.5-9 ( at least at the time of this review the only sizing listed are apparently US sizes ie 8.5-9, 9.5-10... without the EU sizing). In most shoe brands I'm about an 8.5. I can sometimes go as low as 8 and sometimes as high as 9 but usually 8.5 is more or less a good fit. However in these shoes I felt like they were clearly way too large perhaps by 1 or 1 and 1/2 sizes. I was able to sit out two pinkies behind the heel (as opposed to the 1 pinky that is recommended in the Dansko sizing video). And even with the two pinkies space behind the heel I felt like I had more than enough room in the toe box. Even just taking a few steps in the house the shoes almost slipped off a few times. Otherwise the foot dead and the construction felt very nice and I think if it fit better I suspect it would have been a comfortable shoe. I should also note that once I did some digging around like to danskos website I found that the 8.5-9 correlated with a European size of 42 which would have been much more helpful information because I know that I'm a size 40. Hopefully this can help facilitate decision making regarding sizing of the shoe.

Not Comfortable
I bought these shoes to use in a hospital setting. I am on my feet all day, and I walk back and forth to work. If you do the same I would recommend to not buy these shoes. I was told these shoes have a break in period, but that has been a month now. I cannot walk to work without getting hot spots on my toes. Going through the day, if I do excessive walking, my toes get blisters. I cannot stand it any longer. I am not sure if wearing them longer will make them more comfortable. Sadly, I didn't notice I could return them until it was too late. I feel like I am just out the money now with nothing to show for it. I am going to have to end up buying a different pair of work shoes. I am going to try to contact the seller, or someone to see if I can get an exchange for maybe a size up or just a refund. I would think twice before buying these.

Way too tight and unsteady
It might just be unique to me, but I found the toe box to be uncomfortably tight even though the shoe fit correctly everywhere else. Enough so that I ended up with Morton's neuroma (pain and numbness in your feet and toes) for about a month or two after wearing them for only 2 or 3 days. I also had to stop wearing them because I kept rolling my ankles. It looks like the soles are actually slanted (not by mistake, but how the shoes are manufactured). The build quality of the shoes is good, and I felt like they supported my feet well, but the constant pain from squeezing the daylights out of my toes and rolling my ankles makes them impossible for me to wear. I can't return them in good conscience because they're scuffed up (from falling so many times), so I guess I'm just stuck with them.
