Very good!
It is a hassle free, easy to install piece of equipment and it works very well. It connects with my main router without any problem and extends the coverage area very efficiently. I highly recommend this product.

Outdated product.
Worrest one. Not extended one feet extra to your existing WIFI unit. In specifications it perform three functions. But it is not a extender or ethernet bridge. Software CD not open at all. It changes your original network . always disconnect from WIFI. I placed it for return immediately.. I requested for cash repayment from Amazon.

Amazingly Amazon
This product is really better than I thought it was. Works better than a commercial WiFi router and UI and Configuration is really easy and feature rich for this price range. Puts other WiFi devices into dust. Good Product and Good seller. Keep it up

Edimax products work for me, and the price is right.
Ok, I am not a network engineer, I have a HP 2600 with no wi-fi, so I bought this to put it on my wi-fi network. As I have the EDIMAX BR-6258n about a year ago, and am using it as an access point to cover a dead spot in my wi-fi network, and it works fine, can stream video on my wife's iPad, and my tablet it works. Speed is not was good as when I am close to my main wi-fi router. While this is in use with my printer I can not give speedtests for this item yet. I will buy another to make it an access point just to try, at this price, well why not.My speed test for my EDIMAX BR-6258n I get a range fo 15 to 20 Mbps down and all three access points give 6 Mbps up. The best download speed is my main router at 20 to 30 Mbps, the free one from T-mobile only give 2 to 6 Mbps down, which might be because it has a long cat5 run, ???. In any case with the three access points I have access throughout the house, and my HP 2600 always prints using this Edimax EW-7438RPn.It was easy to setup, just as was my first EDIMAX BR-6258n was. I like this one better as it is all in one unit, while my first on has a 5 volt power pack.It even fits in the electric socket without blocking the other plug : )I will update when I get the second one, as this is a N300 I expect it to be as fast if not much faster than the 150Mbps earlier model. As the earlier model gives me plenty of speed I do not think I will upgrade it, just leave what is working where it is.

Great Wifi Adapter
Easy to set up. Easy to reconfigure. Works really well with incredibly strong strong signal strength. I use it to connect an old wired apex aquarium controller. Signal strength is -53 dBm to a distant access point which is fantastic. It is hard to find online support but you just need to do typical setup steps.1. Copy the url from the “Setup” barcode from the device.2. Plug in then press the button until the light blinks.3. Connect to the Edimax setup wifi network.4. Open a browser and go to the url from step 1.5. You should now be in a very clear guided setup.

Setup App does not accept my network password even though my router and devices use that password
I had to return this. I attempted to set it up as an Adapter/Bridge. The browser based setup app would not accept the network password that my router (and about 20 devices) use all the time. I have used the same password for many years on at least 5 different brands of routers plus many devices. Tech support is not too techy. They know a little about filling out the set up screens but when that does not work, they try to tell you your password is invalid. Hello. The router and the connected devices accept the password. So Edimax has a problem with their setup browser. If I were to guess, I would guess that the programmer who wrote the browser based setup app, plugged in password rules that apply to Microsoft Windows or some other app instead of password rules that apply to routers. Tech support wasted my time by first telling me the Edimax did not support AES security. Then they told me to update my firmware (it is up to date). They also had other guesses that were wrong. Edimax claims this product is compatible with all routers and meets most 802.11N/g/B wireless standards, but obviously not. Their final "solution" was that I should change all my passwords on all my devices and the router to meet the standards of their device.
