These are good labels
I wish they would be able to last longer without fading and that some would adhere to the surface more.I end up putting clear packing tape over these so they stay. They still fade out quicker than I like but I use them to label tools boxes and cabinets. I like the size and the ease of use and when I use them in a more office way they are fine. Just wish they had a more permanent type in the same size.

Excellent Labels... except...
I would rate the black-on-clear 5-stars except peeling the backing off is a job. Seems like the mylar backing isn't as thick as it once was, so while it's split, it does not peel off easily. I've already trashed a couple of labels. When it works though, it's excellent.

Great product, but don't buy it from this seller
Amazon shipping was late, so I bought it from a local store with a bit higher price in order to get the job done on time. the product was great, and no complains. That's why i gave it 5 stars. However, DO NOT buy it from this seller, "MxxL Distributing", see the pictures attached. That was what they shipped to me, I didn't try it since I heard something loose in the cartridge. Thanks to Amazon, they approved my refund without any questions.

The backing tape is not easy peel at all.
Until this purchase, I had only worked with the industrial grade tapes, and the backing is truly easy peel, separating with a slight pressure across the tape. I needed white on clear and this is the Dymo tape which came up in the search. It prints well, but the backing tape is not easy peel at all. I applied the usual deflection I have done and nothing happened. So, I got out the razor knife to break an edge and that was not easy to happen. So I tried gouging the backing and made an opening. As I peeled, I was then shocked to see it separate into ~halves. With that, I took a piece and applied pressure to the edges, and by the time the halves separated, I had creased the label, leaving a permanent line down the tape for several millimeters. For the rest of the labels, I opted to scrap off an edge and peel from there to avoid having the crease line which was clearly visible on the dark substrates. Definitely a "No Joy" experience, although the finished labels did the job well. Definitely improvement needed. Will only buy again if I have to do so.

Difficult to remove backing
For the other dymo D1 tapes I have, the backing removes easily at the 2 half split. Not this black on clear. Just made my first labels with this specific tape, so unable to comment on anything else.

Dymo D1 Standard 9mm tape
Excellent product at a good price even if it took several weeks to arrive from the USA by surface mail. The 9mm tape seems to be unkown in the UK.

The drive sprocket is larger in the spool than my dymo drive spindle, so I filled the space with a bit of plastic and it operates perfectly.

Arrived with issues. Once fixed its good.
Got the unit, it's a bit chunky but looks good. The problem is the unit arrived seemingly DOA. Both the cartridges I used (1 I bought and 1 that it came with) gave me "label jam" errors with no motors even attempting to spin, etc. so after a bunch of googling I found out that a lot of these units come with an issue that requires you to spin the inside motor by hand 4-5 times before it will work on its own. I was lucky to find that and was nearly about to throw it in a box to return. I regret buying it, though.

I chuckled...
I have to admit - when I read "3/4" Width x 22 63/64 ft Length" I chuckled... so - - right around 23 feet - - give 'er take...DYMO brand - and arrived in half the time promised. What's NOT to like?
