Worried? Don't be!
Well let me tell first of all what kind of device you will have in your hand and what you should expect. Its a great product! I thoroughly enjoy it. I got it for 6490 from appario and its best to buy only from them to get the warranty as far as I know. I was looking into flip 4 initially (I had listened to it first which got me into this whole expensive Bluetooth thing in the first place) then I looked at wonderboom. I was enticed to buy wonderboom because it was portable, cheaper than the jbl and also more stylish and rugged. But I had my doubts on the sound quality since it had smaller speakers than jbl and also the reviews didn't support much of bass aspect in the wonderboom. So I started looking for something else. Sony? Great brand! But usually costly?! But I love to research and spend my money well so I dug deep into the whole world of bluetooth speakers and found this gem.Let me tell you the cons. Since they are very less but important nonetheless to know!1- The most problematic thing in the speaker is that you have to use the proprietory charger that comes within the box. If the charger is gone device is gone. But i took that risk hoping that though the device is 2 yrs old now (more probably) sony would support me if such a catastrophe ever befalls upon me. I have a ps4. Sony fan boy!2- Flip 4 and wonderboom are more rugged devices compared to xb30. Xb30 is only splash proof and can't be submersed into water. But I checked the videos to see how well it's sealed and it worked just fine under a running tap (you can search on YouTube I didn't definitely test this on my own and I had no intention to take it with me in the pool at the first place).3- this would be a little nitpicking but xb30 is a more hefty device than xb31 or flip 4. Xb30 is in the range comparable to jbl charge 4 (more on that later in pros) so flip 4 is not a good comparison for it but since xb30 is cheaper than flip 4 it falls in the same comparison category. Now the pros1- It sounds absolutely great! You can feel the bass and I am sure it's louder and deeper than the flip 4. It's not very treble loving speaker hence only bass boost feature and no treble boost (not that I have seen such feature to exist) but it sounds great even on higher notes. If you absolutely love treble then you would be better off with a jbl but then look for charge 4 to get the best of both worlds.2- The original price is around 12 k so I nearly got it at the half of its price. I went for the cheapest yet the best device. Xb31 is a superior device in every aspect. But it also is a couple of thousands costlier. I am a guy with a budget of 2000 but stretched it to 6.5k so couldn't go any further. So if you are absolutely hasty to get a Bluetooth speaker then this would do just fine but with xb32 around the corner xb31 is bound to drop in price and it is a much better device than xb30.3. Battery life is great too. I can't tell you the numbers but it lasts me 2 days with constant use though not at max volume at all times. It takes quite some time to charge too so keep that in mind when planning for trips. It also acts as a powerbank, has a massive battery. It absolutely destroys flip 4 if not for ruggedness but if you wanna keep it away from a lot of water and falls then its a tank and you can feel that solid build quality in its heft. That's all folks. I have ditched my headphones completely ever since I found this beauty. It's a must buy for content consumption on a smartphone.

Better than jbl flip 4...
The best bluetooth speaker at a decent price range. Better than jbl flip4. Killing bass experience while the extra bass is turned on. Good battery life... You can charge your smartphone too... Its a power bank with more than 8000mah battery. Feels a little bit heavy, but the weight helps to improve the stability when placed on unlevel surfaces at high volume. The lights are stunning and you can try different light modes using music centre app of sony. Once it has fallen from my hand on rough surface, and surprisingly it was all right even though its heavy. Its splash resistant too. I am fully satisfied with the product. Its beyond my expectation. Good job sony. Now I am your fan. This one is on offer now. I got it for 5.4k.

Good One
Decent in looks and sound. Feature of extra bass and flashy lights is good. A little more treble and crispy sound would have been perfect. It's quite loud for it's size though. Battery life at higher volume and extra bass is around 4 hrs. A PIN type charger of 3A is a minor drawback. At almost a kg it feels a little heavy. It is easy to use. You get a small equaliser if you use Sony music app and it is an advantage. When battery is left at 40% it reduces the volume by itself. If it is playing and getting charged also, the charging light doesn't come on.Both these things are annoying. You can't practically use the battery to it's last drop.Overall a decent product at decent price.

Mini disco theatre at home. Satisfied
It's amazing product. Got it around 7.4k especially this blue color. The device is sexy and Litt.Pros :- great voice clarity- extra bass mode with button to turn on/off- lights long press button to turn on/off- disco lights creates superb ambience when room lights turned off.- great piece at such price. Not so heavy to carry. Very portable.Cons:Can't find much, just 1 that when power gets low, the volume is raised to maximum and it's output is 30% of maximum (means volume is reduced to very low, so can't listen from far of room, so basically need to charge it)Overall it's a Gr8 product to keep in stock, it's eye catching and beautiful to listen and look at. Also it's a power bank after fully charged with USB output port.

Awesome Sound with Bass and ClearAudio.
The media could not be loaded. Purchasing this SONY XB30 is worth every penny.Firstly, The sound clarity is better than its competitors like JBL Flip 4 or JBL Charge 3. Secondly, the EXTRA BASS option adds mini subwoofer type bass, although it is 2.0ch output speaker. If bass and adequate clarity is the concern, this bluetooth speaker is the best in its segment. The S-Master Sound Amplifier works great, which is even found on Sony’s Home Theatre Systems, for the SONY’s ClearAudio. In short, For a portable Bluetooth Speaker, this one has a great bass, clear audio(if EXTRA BASS mode is off) Battery backup is good and the lights on it is too cool.If you have option around this budget or competitor product like JBL Flip 4, JBL Charge 3 or Creative SoundBlaster Roar, pick this one coz it would really satisfy your worth every Penny. (Still confused, then see reviews and comparisons on YouTube)Sample Video Included(Compressed Quality)
