Excellent for keeping unwanted critters out of your yard. I started by purchasing those solar sonic Gopher mole repellent polls the ones that you put in your garden and our solar Powered. They did nothing in fact I had gopher holes right next to the solar powered post !.Then I remembered hearing about using blood meal to keep unwanted critters, Deers gophers and other pests out of your garden. I started by putting a small amount in my garden bed which didn’t really work well. Then I made a line of blood meal Powder around my entire garden on the outside of the fence, that is where I noticed a huge difference no more dug up holes in my lawn !!!So don’t waste your money on fancy gadgets to keep your garden and lawn clear and free of dug up holes. This stuff works excellent !!I would recommend re applying The blood meal powder around the area you want to keep protected every two months especially if it is a rainy season. I also use it in my garden as a nitrogen source for my plants.

I have to be honest here. Blood Meal is a fertilizer for sure but it usually comes from slaughterhouses and is dried and processed as a water soluble organic nitrogen booster for your plants. Your gardens are nitrogen eaters and this boosts it to get better yields. If you get past what it is you will see a bumper crop of whatever you are planting for your family dinner plates from normal and regular usage.

Haven’t seen signs of a chipmunk since I put this out. They were taking all of my vegetable plants and digging holes in the pots. I sprinkled this on the dirt and around the boxes one time (about a month and a half ago) and haven’t had any problems since!

Good to use...

Every time I pot a plant, I sprinkle Blood Meal on top of the plant. If I don't, it is quite likely that the critters will dig in my plant and possibly kill it. They do not like the smell of Blood Meal, so it keeps them away. It is also a natural fertilizer. I don't like to be without Blood Meal.

This with bone meal saved our yellow struggling flowers, they are spreading nicely now.

I made a fertilizer mix for the "year of the tomato". Tired of low yield I had researched and added this to my fertilizer mix. Lots of fruit this year!
