I was surprised to find these on Amazon - they were my favorite junk food in high school in Montreal. To be honest, I have not had one from the "source" there in many years, so it's possible that what they sell there is also like this now. But it is not the way I remember it at all. There was no crystal sugar on top, the jam and marshmallow creme are super thin and just excessively sweet. The pastry is OK. If you're seeking a nostalgic hit, keep seeking.

If you have never tried these I highly recommend them. They are light and flaky and taste soooo good. Eat with a cup of coffee or just as a snack. Has a very creamy filling.

The box arrived smushed and so where the pieces inside the box. I was disappointed that it wasn't put in a sturdy box but they put it in a paper envelope.

Why can't we have the original flakey puffs!!!!! I'm from New England love in AZ now but I sure do miss these!!!
