whats the transmit range and receiving range for this radio?

I bought a radius HH 350 Cobra MR nearly one year ago; Excellent battery lasts me 10 days to work the equipment until 1 to 2 hours daily . The strength of this team is very good and powerful, which is up to 6 watts, which do not have other devices from other manufacturers . I'm happy with this radio. I think the scope of this portable radio is about 10 miles.

The description says the unit floats, but will it be damaged if dropped overboard?

No.....or what would be the point of it floating...??Its not supposed to get wet ... but if you go overboard with it.... it will work for emergency purposes....

Can the radio be set to one channel and also watch 16?

The HH350 has a feature/function called Tri-Watch. It is used to monitor three (3) channels at once — Channel 16 and two (2) programmable channels. Is the antenna removable, i.e. can it be removed for compact storage, and then reassembled for use?

Yes, the antenna is removable, screws on/off.
