Crescent Mapleine Imitation Maple Flavoring 2oz Bottle (Pack of 3) by Crescent

My mother used this to make pancake syrup while I was growing up and I made it for my kids and grands. So, I was disappointed when I couldn't find it in my area anymore at any of the small or large grocery stores. So, I thought "real" maple extract would do. Not, so! It tasted like alcohol. Not a good thing. Very pleased to find this product on Amazon. Its been in my life over 60 years and hope it'll be around long after I'm gone.

My sister and I were talking the other day and somehow we discussed my mother's pancakes and how they were so good and that she mixed up the Mapleine for syrup. We weren't sure she used Mapleine because she couldn't get maple syrup easily, maple syrup was too expensive or because she liked it better. We grew up in Michigan where there were lots of sugar maple trees so I suspect real syrup was too expensive.I couldn't find any in stores either and figured Mapleine had disappeared until I checked Amazon and hooray!--there it was.I always saw my mom heating up maple syrup when she made it with Mapleine. When I got married I always heated syrup up whether the fake or the real thing. Finally, my husband told me that he didn't want his syrup heated. I thought that was strange because my mother always heated the syrup. But probably, just the Mapleine syrup.

I found a great recipe online to make a zero calorie brown sugar using this, erithritol and stevia glycerite.The recipe stays moist from the glycerite and mapleine and travels very well.Very happy with my purchase.

Really top grade maple syrup is not in our budget .... we don't use it often enough to justify the cost and to lose it to mold because it sits on our shelf so long. What is bottled commercially as "pancake syrup" is just sugar, corn syrup and artificial flavoring and is not very economical for such basic ingredients. If you are willing to use artificial flavoring, use this one instead. I used Mapleine years ago, loved it and couldn't find it locally but here it is on Amazon! The box has recipes for small amounts of syrup and this product tastes as good or better than off-the-shelf pancake syrup and it takes such a small amount of the flavoring that one small bottle will last a long time. You won't be disappointed if you buy it.

I have several dessert recipes that rely on maple flavoring for the recipe to work. After running out of my McCormick maple flavoring (which was apparently old), I bought a new bottle and hated it! No flavor! Ruined several recipes. So, I researched and found a recommendation for this product. I love it! Wonderful maple flavor! Highly recommend if you want a real maple flavor to your cooking.

Exactly what it's supposed to be as always. What was unique about this purchase is that it needed to be shipped to China where such things are in very short supply. Took a few weeks to get there and get through customs, as I was warned it would. But everything happened without a hitch and there is now a coffee shop in Shanghai with real American pancakes and syrup the way Americans like them. Very happy with the purchase and next time will be more than 3 bottles.

Delivery was fast and the price is excellent! Why is this product not available in stores anymore?This is a wonderful product, that has been a staple in my home for years. We mostly use it to make fresh, hot syrup and my daughter told me that it's so good that I should go into business.Please stay with us Crescent Mapleine!

Happy to find these online. We moved, and this brand seems unavailable around here. After trying a few times to make maple syrup with McCormick, we got desperate and were excited to find this Mapleine here on Amazon.
