Essential & High Quality
I've gotten a few sets of these for various lenses and they are great. Enables impressive macro shots. The +1 and +2 have no noticeable loss in sharpness or other image degradation. The +4 and +10 have slight softness and chromatic aberration but it doesn't bother me personally as it's very minimal. For the price these are outstanding diopters.

Geat filter that's worth the price.
I thought that, with being inexpensive, that meant the filters wouldn't have much clarity. I was very wrong. These are great and very fun to play with.

These are really nice to have for that really special close-up photo, here they are in a pouch.
I like having this Close-up lens set when I need a special close-up shot that my camera lens can't get.The photos come out clear and bright and I get a shot that is otherwise impossible. They were inexpensive, and the lens pouch is a safe way to bring them with me. Very sensible pricing too.

Approaching "World-Class"
Vivitar produced world-class photo products back in the 60s and early 70s. They nearly went out of business in the late 70s, but now they are back and producing near world-class products again. This is the second Vivitar product that I have purchased in the last year and I am extremely happy to see this change.

THIS IS A NICE HANDY MACRO FILTER SET
Needing 77mm filters I was very glad to find the Vivitar Series 1 Macro Filter Set. Not only does it provide me with four excellent macro filters that can be mixed and stacked to give several additional macro settings, the kit came in a great pouch to store and protect the filters. This is one item that you will be very pleased with.

Not worth your money!
I was so hopeful for this product and saw good results with it when I was reading reviews, and I am honestly so disappointed. I was hoping buying these would save me $1000s by not buying a macro lens. Right when it got delivered, I opened it and tried it out on my 85mm 1.4 lens. The only images that looked 1/2 way decent without distortion are when using the 1x Macro Filter or the 2x Macro Filter. The autofocus takes forever to focus and dial in on the item you are photographing. The 4x Macro Filter and the 10x macro filter is a joke to use. If you move slightly at all while holding the camera everything will be out of focus and you really have to fiddle with it and making micro movements and adjustments while getting it into focus. Even when taking the photo, that slight movement from pressing the shutter button can make your camera move and have the image be out of focus. As a wedding photographer who was hoping to save some money and get great results, this was a huge disappointment and I would not recommend buying this filter set.

quite interesting lens
I put this lens in front of my canon 24-70 mm lens and took some pictures. It clearly showed macro images with well-focusing.It is a cheap choice to obtain macro-level images.

Shooting through the fog
This filters have completely degraded the quality of any lens that I've used with them. Every photo I've taken with them looks blurry, distorted and noisy. I examined them closely under a light and could see cloudy spots in the optics which you could only imagine how it would affect the light that passes through it on the way to the filter.I've taken much clearer photos with inexpensive point-and-shoot cameras. I didn't expect much purchasing this kit and I was still left disappointed. This kit is not even worth paying the small price tag for it. If you are the least bit concerned about clear and sharp photos, save your money and don't purchase these filters.
