Wanted one with a 1,000° for a wood fire pizza oven. I can say it was dead accurate up to 750° Only because I didn’t have anything to compare that went any higher.

The glass is discolored
No way it ccan be attached so that you can read the dial which is now discolored.

Window becomes brown
After a few months exposed to the hot air coming off a wood stove fireplace insert, the window has become so brown and discolored that I can no longer read the thermometer. Too bad, otherwise, a nice thermometer, but now completely worthless.
