7inch Monitor only for Metecsmart 4wire Video Doorbell (7'' Black)

This video doorbell is brilliant. The only concern was the wiring diagram. OK it told you what wire went where but not a colour code. So for those like me here it is1 intercom & unlocking wire GREEN, 2 ground wire BLACK, 3 video wire YELLOW, 4 power wire RED hope this helps.

This replaced a Swann unit which the push button had given up. Used existing wiring and was installed in 5 mins. Robust outside unit but contacts are open so ensure well waterproofed. Day camera good and within expectations, no night vision on this unit so not as useful as Swann. Overall seems ok but night vision is a drawback as will only show if caller near unit which does light up on activation.

I wanted a wired front door and doorbell monitoring system that would be available immediately rather than me having to refer to my app on my phone or tablet, all of which takes time when there's someone waiting at your front door for you to answer it. This seemed ideal in theory and has turned out to be so in practice. However, the plug that fits into the back of the indoor video monitor was faulty and didn't make a full connection, with the result that the monitor didn't at first work properly. It took some time for my electrician to pinpoint what exactly the problem was. I wrote to Metecsmart about the fault and they responded quickly and fairly. We soon came to an amicable resolution to fix the problem and now everything is working fine and just as I'd imagined. So not very happy that part of what was delivered didn't work 100%, which can happen to any company or product, but very happy with the way in which the problem was resolved by Metecsmart to everyone's satisfaction.

Wanted a door video answerphone system with a 7 inch colour screen. To replace my old type 3 inch black and white with hand receiverThis one was short on reviews but looked just what I needed.From the start with delivery it was great, well packed in a pre formed foam box, well protected and in perfect condition.Its sleek and modern with adequate installation instructions, connected it to the existing 11m of 4 core cat 6 cable , it worked fine as soon as it was switched on,The picture quality is fine, Its not up to HD, but its more than adequate for its intended use, the sound is also good both ways, again fine for its intended purpose. Just tried it now its dark, and yes no problem to see who's there.I don,t think I need to go into any more details, as they are all in the description and Q&As,So yes im well pleased and would thoroughly recommend.

Very good but not wireless , works with cable and electricity . You need and electrician to instal

Very pleased with the video doorbell, the screen is a good size and the picture very clear. The sound is so good that even someone that was hard of hearing would have no problems!!I have no hesitation in highly recommending the doorbell.

I was impressed with this door monitor initially but after a month it developed an intermittent issue with the bell not working. The issue seemed to be with the connector at the back of the monitor. On the third occasion that this occurred the connector block came away from the monitor. I note that another person who has reviewed this product had a similar issue with the connector to the rear of the monitor. I think that the connector was not soldered adequately. I wrote to the manufacturer but have not had any reasonable response.

After paying a professional to fit this it is just not fit for purpose.Picture ok, but no sound at all so they can’t heAr me. Sometimes opens gate sometimes doesn’t.£90 wasted :(
