I went into this with a degree of caution with others reviews on assembly and the extra space on the end of the bed and between the bed and headboard. I did my best to photograph the journey and the results. First photo is while putting the headboard together. There are little barrels they set into the particle board to catch threads of the provided bolts. This particular one tightened but did not get tight. I knew immediately after a single turn and it not being snug that something was wrong. I pulled it out, with effort less than a hot knife through butter. And you can see how it was not properly set. Though I suppose some wood glue would fix it. But I just shoved it back in and kept going as it was the only one that did that. NOTE: do not tighten anything past hand tightening until you have everything for that section lined up and hand tightened. Lining things up is a slight challenge with this frame. Also, one the pieces has an off level weld; pictured with a level piece next to it. You may also notice while anssem that the metal is thin, and creates dents when tightening. Assembly took roughly 2 hours by myself. This is for a king size frame so I imagine all others would be quicker. A lot of people talked about the gaps between the frame and mattress. My last three photos show what kind of gaps I ended up with. Hardly anything. Nothing compared to some of the other images I’ve seen in reviews. For reference my mattress is a Casper original King. Color appears spot on. Getting into the bed, it hasn’t collapsed. So that’s a plus. When positioning/moving the frame, it has some give and it ends up looking a little crooked requiring some alignment. All my bolts are tightened so that’s not the issue. The headboard as one other review says, does stink. Like bad cheese with a mix of chemicals. The electrical receptacle was easy to put in. The holes were small but nothing I couldn’t add some hand torque to. Biggest issue with it is that the cord is far too short. Please excuse the messy room in the pictures :)

Kinda of a chemical smell but it's beautiful once put together. I put it together in about an hour and a half by myself. Fairly easy assembly. However the legs will catch your toes if you aren't careful walking by
