Perfect for an entry to Nespresso
Packaging, delivery and taste were all great. Just a tad expensive considering they retail for 50p per pod at source.

A great breakfast blend!
The Giornio Nespresso pod description states that it first expresses toasted cereal notes and yes although I am by no means a coffee sommelier, I have been spending a lot of time lately thinking about the flavor notes in coffees and I agree with this, as my first thought was that it tasted like a dry, sweet plain cookie.Which is quite a pleasant flavor first thing in the morning. However, according to Nespresso it is followed by a subtle white floral notes awakened by the acidity of Kenyan Arabica.I won’t say that I drink this coffee and immediately think, “Oh yes, most certainly, the subtle white floral notes are rather forthcoming in this cup, methinks!” but that said, it is a bit on the weak side for me so if by white floral they mean delicate and light I agree. Flavor wise it is a tiny bit on the weak side for my particular palate.I would agree with the “acidity of Kenyan Arabica” It does have a little acidity, which is not sour or sharp. It has a slight tang and is a fresher, less creamy- rich flavor to me, than say the Melozio pod.Gionio is also described as a morning blend. I know a lot of people want a milder roast that doesn’t pack a huge flavor punch in the morning, but I am not one of those people. When I roll out of bed all I can think of is downing a rich, medium-strong cup of coffee that doesn’t make me feel like I just licked an ashtray but isn’t a gentle stroll in a flower garden either. I want a rich and creamy coffee that is an eye opener rather than a punch to the head followed by heart palpitations with a stale cigarette aftertaste. Some people might enjoy that (my husband for example), but they (and him) are made of stronger stuff than I am.This Giornio pod is a bit weak in flavor intensity for me. It is listed as Intensity – 4, whereas my go-to pod (Melozio) is Intensity – 6. Actually, all of my favorite Nespresso pods are intensity 5 and 6 so now that I have tried all the pods, the intensity rating which I didn’t pay much attention to at first, has turned out to be an excellent indication of the ones that I will enjoy. Once you find one pod that isn’t too strong tasting or too weak for you, then you should be pretty safe buying others with the same intensity rating, plus or minus 1. Unfortunately, Nespresso doesn’t provide detailed information on the exact caffeine content of any given pod. Instead, stating that each 7.77oz coffee contains between 120-200mg caffeine per cup. Nespresso states that the intensity rating isn’t related to the caffeine content. So, I don’t know whether this pod is weaker in caffeine than some of the others, but it is a lightly flavored pleasant morning blend that I am sure many people will very much enjoy.I have also reviewed some of the other Nespresso Vertuoline pods (I’m working my way through them and trying to post a review for all of the pods, so if this review is helpful to you, and you are wondering which pod to try next, simply click on my profile and scroll down my reviews to find my other Nespresso Vertuoline pod reviews. You could also follow me on my profile to be notified when I post new reviews. There may be another one that spikes your interest outside of my personal top favorites, there are some other great pods too that I also enjoy. No matter how great a coffee is, sometimes I just want something a bit different to wake up my taste buds. It has been a lot of fun working out which ones I like and why, but it is easier on the wallet now I know what to look for in a pod. I hope this review has helped you work out if you might enjoy the Giornio pod too.If this has helped you, would you please click the helpful button? I spend a lot of time on my reviews because there is a lot of junk out there and I like to think that my reviews help filter out the crap for other like-minded buyers who are hunting for the same products that I am :) It makes it worthwhile when I see that people have been helped by my reviews.Happy coffee drinking :)

Delicious way to start your day!!
A delicious medium hi blend of coffee.I just find the cost is expensive. I’ve tried about 8 different blends, the lower rated numbers )345) are to weak for my taste budsBut 6 + over are excellent flavors and blends.I do not like Expresso. You can find some very good videos on howTo reuse pods on internet, They work greatAt half the pricr

Best Coffee. Great price. Great flavor.
Bought a Nespresso for Christmas. Loving it. This is my favorite flavor of the ones they sell. I bought the 10 pack originally thinking it would be enough, but really, that's only 10 cups of coffee. So, I definitely recommend buying the 30 pack. It's more bang for your dollar. But, you can't go wrong with this either. It's a great way to try flavors.NOTHING beats Nespresso. Love this. There is no generic for the VertuoLine. Don't try and use alternatives. This is the best.

Freshness very important
I ordered this in January 2018 and received a box that had been produced September 28, 2017, best before August 31, 2018.The freshness is very important. This coffee still tastes good. However, I would not trust the foil seal for another six months --- I previously tried a VertuoLine sampler pack after its best-by date, and every coffee was strangely bitter.
