A Must Have For Plantar Fasciitis
Buying this splint was the best thing I ever did!!! I have suffered with pain so bad in my foot that I had to use crutches. I had broken my foot (my 80lb Pit Bull and another Pit fell on my foot while playing) and had Plantar Fasciitis going on at the same time. That was in October to March with my foot in a boot. After the brake was healed I began to get active again to lose the 20lbs I had gained. I started mowing the lawn like a maniac ( with a push mower) and I lost the weight. Unfortunately the Plantar Fasciitis came back worse then ever. I went to the doctor and his solution was a cortisone shot. I couldn't get the shot because insurance had to approve it and then there was an issue with it. I don't like those shots because they weaken the bones and I didn't want to go through another broken foot. I went weeks in severe pain and my foot in a bucket of ice water. Trying to work all day was torture since my job requires me to be on my feet. So I started looking on line for some kind of relief and came across this splint. What a difference it has made in my life. I almost gave in and got the shot but another doctor wanted me to try other things first and do the shot as a last resort. I'm so glad I opted to heal naturally and this splint was a big part of it. It is nicely made and very good quality. Customer service is excellent. I had a couple of questions and Aaron got right back to me. He also provided a picture to clarify my question. I highly recommend this night splint for the quality product and exceptional customer service. I wish I had this splint years ago, it would have saved me a lot of suffering. I'm tough on my feet and had so many issues having broken both feet. Plantar Fasciitis comes and goes but now with this night splint it shortens my suffering and heals it fast. It is also very comfortable to sleep in. I also use a wedge pillow under my knees so that helps too. If your suffering in pain, buy this night splint. You won't be disappointed!

Am I doing something wrong?
I have wore this splint for about 3 days and I have not seen any improvement whatsoever. I had a cortisone shot and thats the closest ive been to being "back to normal" but only one week later my pain has come back. Am I doing something wrong. I think I might have something other than pf because the pain I get is bad. Its not that bad because I havent gone to the hospital yet again. I cant even stand for an hour until I feel stinging pain. I havent been able to work because of this damn issue for 9 months. Im losing my patience. I thought I didnt tighten the brace tight. I tightened it substantially and my feet started to get numb had to untighten it. I left it somewhat loose and added the wedge and about 30 min later the area underneath my toes got numb.I've tried foot rollers, foot taping (plantar fascia and fat pad area) did help my PF but not my fat pad, inserts provided by foot and ankle specialist, ball rolling, trigger point massage (calves and feet), stretching and strengthening exercises, exercises to fix my anterior pelvic tilt which may be contributing to my problem as well, foot scraping, wearing toe separators ("realigning foot bones") , I also no longer sit for more than 30 minutes, I'm currently using heel cups for about 3 weeks with little improvement, after doing this for 9 months couldn't stand it and got a cortisone shot in my left foot which did help but there's still pain there, tried walking bearfoot or wearing minimalist shoes/zero drop shoes. I have yet to try, compression braces, magnesium supplement, custom orthotics, and others that I'm probably missing (please reply with something that's helped!).Ill continue to wear this for more time to see if it eventually works and Ill update on here.

2-4 stars with deduction for doesn't help
I have moderate to severe plantar fasciitis in right foot. Giving this overall 2 stars even though I like the IDEA and the quality, the effectiveness and fit are a problem. First, what I like, only plastic and foam but I've been pretty hard on it, hasn't cracked, torn or broken on ANY part. My feet are 7.5 American woman size. The small seems a bit too large but not by much and its doable. Impressed with quality because it doesn't really look all that great or feel well made, but is.DOWNSIDE, in essence, doesn't work. Why? For four primary reasons: one, if you tighten and put wedges to the point it "fits" and keep foot in neutral or tilt-back position, it can hurt. Two, no matter how many wedges or straps you tighten, it's hard to really get the foot secure (in the right position) without cutting off circulation. I often have to remove the boot in the middle of the night. Three, it's bulky. Last night was a great example. I was on my left side, the weight of the boot pulled my right foot down, my hip was all twisted and finally I was in such GREAT pain it woke me up and I spent 25 minutes stretching my hip. Four, if you get up in middle of night, very twisting to hip also and off center (body just doesn't like) when trying to walk. It's not easy getting it on and off. While the buckles are well made, they are just hard to release.I will be trying a different kind based on YouTube videos by Physical Therapy videos. These professional therapists are recommending the kind with the hard plastic on the TOP of the foot and straps that lift the toes up, not THIS kind where the plastic is below. Unfortunately I can't see the exact kind they recommended on Amazon but there are some similar kinds. Finally, I just watched a REALLY good 57 minute video by Paul on YouTube that outlined how he relieved his plantar fasciitis with 5 NOT EASY steps. It's very realistic, I hope you watch it. Night splints were NOT one of his methods. But I personally believe they can help if you get the right one. Paul, however, seems like a real voice of reason, not a quick fix and He has some great cheap suggestions for things you can do for yourself. The "PHYSICALTHERAPY VIDEOS" with Bob Schrup are ALL excellent, I've watched at least 10 with great ideas for stretches and other therapies. For these whose heel pain has just started, PLEASE do the stretches they outline FAST. I personally believe it MIGHT be possible to nip the problem in the bud much quicker. If you wait, your body tries to "adapt" and alters its gait and posture to relieve pain. This can compound the problem (Paul goes into this in detail and I've experienced it too).
