Fantastic "shotgun" effect with soft gel beads, but, WEAR SAFETY GLASSES +ADULT SUPERVISION
There are only 2 blasters like this on the market and I think this one is going away. Stores are clearancing it out as has been Amazon and I will be sorry to see it go. The alternative is one from "Gel Blaster" brand that fires 6 soft gel balls at a time (the Nerf does 5) but it does so poorly and anemically and wildly, because it uses only 3 barrels with 2 per barrel fired at once. Soon that will be the only option, and this WONDERFUL Nerf one will be gone. So I recommend grabbing one NOW if you want a good one. It does require some priming (cocking) force because it's a strong spring about to fling 5 gel balls simultaneously. The loading is easy enough into a big hopper that fits ALL OTHER NERF gel ball blasters. Yippee!!! No small chamber to dump the balls into. EASY! And the feeding is pretty good. Almost every shot does send 5 gel balls downrange, and at equal speeds and in a nice V-shaped dispersion pattern, and giving VERY good distance - I almost wonder if there's a hop-up buried deep in each of the 5 (five!) barrels that spins the gels to achieve such good distance. Dispersion of shots at long distances is perfect because at least 1 of them will tag your target. This thing is FANTASTIC in a gel ball contest against other humans, ALL WEARING SAFETY GLASSES, PLEASE. It never jams and while it's a bit difficult to prime, it won't be for a 14+ year old that it's rated for. I've seen 8 year olds use it well and as long as they're supervised I think they can handle it. The blaster is HEAVY PLASTIC that's extremely strong. You could hammer nails with this thing. It's just DURABLE. Everything about it is SO WELL MADE. I think this is a one-of-a-kind thing that cost Nerf a small fortune to design and manufacture and it just didn't sell well enough at $59.99 where it started, and now it's less, until they're gone, and that will indeed happen. I don't recommend the alternative by Gel Blaster brand as it's creaky and thin and feels cheap, kind of like their other blasters which rely more on celeb endorsements than on quality. But NERF made a winner here, and I think you'll love it as much as I do. Wonderful blaster, great fun, and don't forget the SAFETY GLASSES and ADULT SUPERVISION so it's a good time without mishap. RECOMMEND HIGHLY!!!

Must have!!!
The NERF Pro Gelfire Raid Blaster is a total blast! It fires fast, hits with satisfying accuracy, and the gel rounds make playtime way more exciting without the mess. Reloading is quick and easy, and the build quality feels solid—definitely more premium than typical NERF blasters. Whether it’s for casual backyard battles or intense games with friends, this thing performs flawlessly. Tons of fun and well worth it!

Actuate shooting and fun
This shoots pretty far and fun just hitting the tree leaves or fence. It shoots like a shotgun, but they’re close together each shot and shoots straight. Ease to use with adult supervision, my 4 year old daughter loves shooting the fence and hearing it pop the gel beads. No battery required, just physical strength for each pump.

Very fun blaster, but flimsy gel reservoir
I've always loved Nerf shotguns, and am still holding out for a proper double-barrel rival blaster. In the meantime, I saw this Gelfire series shotgun heavily discounted and had to grab it. The blaster looks and functions great, with decent durability. The shotgun spread is genuinely useful, typically firing up to 5 balls at once. If I had a group of people to run games with, I could easily have been happy with it for full price on the product's launch. Gel blasters have their faults of course; the ammo is disposable and not intended for re-use, you have to hydrate the ammo for several hours (Though they don't overhydrate so you can keep some ready to go if you can keep children safe from them), your not supposed to use them indoors (they splatter), ***they can severely injure your eyes so you need good protection!*** The biggest issue I have with it is the cheapness of the ammo tank. It feels about as sturdy as a single-use plastic water bottle. You could crunch it by sitting on it. stepping on it, etc. I think the idea was you would pick up more of these in ammo refill packs, and they had to be made cheap enough to be included with them and not make the ammo packs too expensive. Nerf doesn't give you a measuring scoop or a way to measure out just enough rounds to fit the ammo tank. They include a screw on cap to keep them safe inside between sessions, though no straining cap to drain the water out. Nerf instructs you to always use a tank capable of hydrating the whole pack so you don't accidentally underhydrate them or something. Not a convenient solution, but I guess it works? Straining an loading these tiny bouncy balls from whatever random container you dig up can be a huge pain, you will want to think it through in advance so you avoid a huge mess. Nerf does not offer their own hydrating tank, though there seems to be plenty of options on the market from other brands. Still, if you can mange the safety and ammo logistics, it's a very fun blaster. Just make sure if it's for your kids, that they are old enough to handle it and give them proper supervision.

This thing is great
My daughter recently introduced the whole family to the fun to be had with gel blasters. Wanting to diversify my arsenal I seen these at a box store on clearance. I was excited to find the same one even cheaper on Amazon. Aside from the family wars, I use these as a fun and valuable tool around the house and property. While this shotgun does bite a little harder than most of the other guns we had, that definitely comes in handy for wasps and carpenter bees and the 5 balls per shot gives me the additional coverage I need when taking on stinging insects. So far, I've killed over a dozen wasps and several carpenter bees as well as a hornet. I used to leave them be because the are pretty quick to detect the source of the threat and quickly confront it but as long as I have plenty of ammo in the hopper they are welcome to try. I have also pulled 3 wasp nests down, one as far away as about 8-10 yards after easily clearing its residents off. If you plan to use it like I do I strongly recommend getting fast and proficient because once they know you're out to fight they gladly oblige. Sometimes taking 10 to 15 shots to pull them out the air and end their rage fueled rampage. Works way better than the salt gun which wasn't bad but didn't have the range. Does a number on crane flies and mosquitos and house flies and horse flies as well as those green ones that live to hang out on dog poop. Check your local regulations regarding hunting over bait before you set up on a fresh dog turd. It will also do the trick on palmetto bugs and spiders. This gun seems to be close to the top speed you can achieve while maintaining accuracy. We have a faster one that seems to curve the balls flight path at a out 15 feet or so. I assume it's due to the lack of rifling and the raw speed of the projectile. I've not seen it with this one. Can't speak to accuracy in regard to the sights as I shoot it instinctively. It comes with some pic style rails that we made little lights we can clip on for hunting mosquitoes and palmetto bugs in the evening. I did find that not all gel balls perform as well as they should out of this platform. We have some glow in the dark ones that are seemingly engineered to be a hair smaller than the others which work great in it's intended platform but them and the regular ones if not allowed to fully expand will roll out the barrel. Not a gun issue at all, an ammo or operator issue. I have enough of these now that everybody I'm the family has one and can use it to defend our way of life. Be careful shooting around flowers and garden plants as it effortlessly rips through all of the plants that bugs like to hang around. Happy hunting. Edit- I have never done this before but wanted to stop in and say this thing and the 3 other identical units I have are still going strong. My wasp count is nearing 50 for the season, while not all fell to the scatter gun a majority have. Also caught a few more carpenter bees in the act of eating my garage and a host of palmetto bugs from the tops of the sewer drains at sundown. It has also claimed the lives of leaf eating garden agitators. The ammo hopper on a couple became a little loose after dozens of reloads but can't really complain with the usage they've seen. A single wrap of tightly wound electrical tape on the threads remedied the issue. We now make point to walk the yard several times a day. No clue who all these wasps belong to but if they care about their well-being they will keep them out of my air space. Got a bunch of them big flying ants landing on me and my welding project as I type this. Time to thin the herd.

High quality
Previously to this gun I have only shot electric guns. This pump action shotgun gel blaster is amazing, simply just amazing, it shoots so well and shoots 5 gels at a time. I have shot it so much and have never once had it jam on me, which is surprising since these guns love to jam all the time. It shoots just as far if not further than all the other gel blasters on the market, and doesn't require any batteries since its spring action. its very quick, but can not slam fire which is sad but understandable. this has to be my favorite gel blaster out of the 20+ that I have. The durability is great and its super reasonably priced. If you want a gel blaster from nerf or in general this is the one to get. Ps. Please make sure to wear safety glasses that are included or really anything, this absolutely has the ability to take away your sight. If you play stupid games you're gonna win stupid prizes.

cheap and fun
My daughter loves it, and the price was reduced when we got it. It holds a lot of rounds, which are cheap and easy. If you aim next to the storage tank as a sight, it is fairly accurate. It seems safe for kids. It has good range, but it doesn't pelt stuff. It is the next best thing to a full air rifle or paintball gun.

Loads of fun.
Brought a couple of these nerf gel blasters to a get-together with some buds. This shotgun in particular is very fun to use. It shoots fast and does sting a bit, but nothing serious, which makes it perfect for ambushing your friends. I picked this up for $10 on Amazon, which is INSANE value for what you're getting. And don't worry, the build quality is way better than what you would expect for $10. It's very solid and feels nice in the hands, which is appreciated as an adult. The blaster comes with 10,000 rounds, which is way more than enough for an afternoon of fun. I only hydrated about 5,000 rounds and still had plenty left over (hopefully they'll last a few more days with some water in the fridge). As I said before, getting shot with this blaster does sting a tad bit from up close, but nothing serious. Certainly not as painful as airsoft pellets or paintballs; just make sure you don't aim for the eyes. This blaster does come with eyewear you can put on to protect your eyes from the gel rounds, so that's a really nice bonus. Overall, this blaster was an absolute blast, (pun intended), and for $10 it's an incredible bargain (I bought this during a sale so it's probably more than $10 at this point, but even then it's a good deal). I totally recommend, very satisfied with this purchase.
