G7thG7th C53053 Performance 2 Capo (Classical 18kt Gold Plate)

I was sick of poorly performing capos and the only really reliable one I've previously found, after 35 years of playing, was the good old Shub. I wanted something quick to use and low profile. I hate those clamp capos that just get in the way of big hands or force you to adjust the way you would naturally clamp down on a chord. This looked good, but I was perturbed by some of the negative comments about it not holding the strings down and causing buzzing etc. I bought it anyway and I am so glad I did. If you can't easily put this capo on then there must be something wrong with you or your guitar. It works perfectly on my Taylor's and a Simon and Patrick Parlour that I sometimes record with. - I have to ask those who posted negative remarks, how much pressure does it take make to bar a chord with your finger? If you think a lot, well you're doing it wrong. Same with this capo. I can squeeze it into to place with my thumb a forefinger of one hand. Because you only apply the pressure needed your strings don't go out of tune. I can't speak for the longevity of the product, but the first impressions are very positive indeed. If you're proper player you will love this capo.

What can I say?This is by FAR the most usable and sensible capo I have ever had, and I have tried them all.It is so quick to use. I am using on my Taylor and I can use it without having to retune at all. The gentle pressure is just perfect without over tensioning the strings and putting them out of tune,And it's a good price too. I tried my friend's Thalia, which he raves about, but I winced at the price. This is much cheaper, AND, it is better.Clever bit of designing, guys.

I own a few capos, most notably a Shubb and a Thalia and an Epiphone EJ200 guitar. The Shubb is brilliant, does the job well and is tiny. Only downside is the mechanism can be a pain. Thalia, I'm trying to love as it's beautiful but I struggle to stop strings buzzing and it still pulls the tuning sharp which it's not supposed to do. Decided to grab one of these bad boys and having used it for a few days I've got to say it's fantastic! Tiny, easy to use and holds the tuning perfectly. All you do is pop it on and squeeze. Would recommend to anyone, well worth the cash.

Excellent capo! After trying various capo's for my acoustic guitar, I felt I could trust this one 100% for reliability and to be safely used on my guitar without marking it in any way. Whereas some other capo's tension seemed to be too much that they may have damaged the guitar over time.Also, this capo is very light and inconspicuous unlike some others which stick out like sore thumbs (although they have their designed uses) I preferred this one as it is small, light and simple to use.I would buy this model again if I needed another capo. 10 out of 10

As a professional I use capo in studio and live and all I really want is fast transition but above all - accuracy. The problem I had with Dunlops and similar was the slight off tuning it did to my guitar, I am assuming because of uneven or too much pressure. With G7th you apply the pressure.It takes time to get used to, and it can be a little awkward to get on or off sometimes in situations when you can't hold the guitar and have just one free hand, but it's worth it.

I have G7 capos for all my steel string guitars, but have resisted buying one for my classical - it feels like cheating somehow!However, I eventually yielded to the thought I needed one and bit the bullet.These capos are great! They are easy to use, and you can adjust the tension on the strings unlike the kaiser types which rely on spring pressure.On the negaitive side they are really expensive when compared to the price of some other capos. However, pay out hundreds (at least) for a guitar and then moan about £20-30 for a capo?If you think about it, better to pay a little more for one which works and you will use than less for one which is rubbish annd stays in the case.

This was the 3rd G7th capo I have but was the most disappointing! Ordered this because I gave my older version gold G7th to my brother-in-law as a present. I have used that one for about 4yrs and still is great.Then came this new G7th capo, tried it on my Taylor 314ce and doesn’t grip well at all! So upset about it. Gave it a couple of months (got it on February, reviewed April) to sort of give it a chance but still not able to hold a grip much. Strings buzzing in the middle of a song and poor first fret hold. Also, the removing mechanism is opposite the old G7th capo I had which makes me confused all the time.Never fix anything which is not broken, G7th.

Having always been a fan of the Schubb capos, (I have 4 of them) like many of your reviewers, I was hesitant about splurging £24 on one of these . Received it a few days ago , and, as has been already stated, found it superb; - easy to use, light, unobtrusive and hardly needing any pressure to effectively bar the strings from bottom to top . It works well on all of my guitars, electric Parkers, Blackbird Super OM, and Martin d45 .My only worry now is that I'll lose it whilst gigging as it is so small, light and unobtrusive, but if this should happen I'll place an order for another in a heartbeat !

Ich habe etliche Kapodaster zu Hause:- Einen der mit Federkraft die Saiten viel zu sehr runterdrückt und dadurch die Stimmung verändert.- Einen mit Ratschen-Arretierung, bei dem die Justage zu ungenau ist - entweder zu lasch oder zu stramm.- Dann noch den Kleinen von Dunlop bei dem ein Hebel an einem Textilbändchen die Vorderseite auf die Saiten drückt. Eigentlich ganz gut, aber der Druck ist zu ungenau einstellbar.- Und dann noch ein Riesen-Unikum, dass groß, klobig und hässlich am Griffbrett klemmt - bei diesem sind Akkord-Griffe im 1. Bund hinter dem Kapo kaum möglich.Nun habe ich den G7TH Performance 2 Kapo. Er erfüllt alle Anforderungen perfekt. Die Einstellung des Drucks auf die Saiten ist zu hundert Prozent vom einem selbst einstellbar: Mann drückt einfach solange, bis alle Saiten ab dem folgenden Bund frei schwingen und das war es auch schon. Der Kapo hält dann genau diese Position. Vorteil gegenüber den anderen Methoden (insbesondere der mittels Federklemme) ist, dass sich die Saiten nicht im Geringsten verstimmen. Das Ganze funktioniert einhändig mit der linken Hand ohne Probleme.Das Lösen des Kapodasters ist sehr einfach und kann ebenfalls mit einer Hand geschehen - einfach die Arretierungstaste leicht drücken und man kann ihn wieder öffnen. So muss es sein!.Die Verarbeitung ist super und der Kapodaster fühlt sich sehr wertig an. Durch die kompakte Bauweise ist er beim Greifen niemals hinderlich.Der Einsatz beim Live-Auftritt (der Kapo klemmte da einmal im 1. und einmal im 2. Bund) war erfolgreich und die Stimmung der Gitarre wurde nie beeinträchtigt..Ich bin froh, ihn gefunden zu haben... alles im Allem eine absolute Kaufempfehlung!

He probado con muchas cejillas, todas más baratas que esta, pero no hay color. Si es para eléctrica, puede que otras baratas te den el apaño, pero solo por lo poco que ocupa, la facilidad de uso y rapidez, yo preferiría esta.Si ya hablamos de acústica, pues esta cejilla es la primera que tengo que funciona realmente bien. Si tienes calibres del 11 o 12 en tus cuerdas, olvídate de usar otras baratas, siempre tendrás cuerdas mal pisadas en la sexta o primera o ambas. En cambio, con esta cejilla quedan bloqueadas sin esfuerzo.Meses atrás, cansado de cejillas que no apretaban suficiente, me contenté con la típica de cinta barata que la acabas poniendo bien a tu gusto, pero te tiras un rato ajustándola, necesitas la 2 manos... En cambio esta tardas 2 segundos y una sola mano. Merece el dinero que cuesta. Una cejilla cómoda y eficiente para toda la vida.

Kaum ein Gitarrist hat diesen Capo nicht schon einmal gesehen oder in der Hand gehalten und viele Gitarristen schwören darauf. Zu Recht?Ja! Auch ich gehöre zu den Gitarristen, die auf diesen Capo schwören. Insgesamt habe ich jetzt vier verschiedene Capos besessen. Davon ist einer komplett kaputt gegangen, einer mittlerweile ziemlich abgenutzt und zwei noch in Betrieb. Aber nur der G7TH Performance sieht nach Jahren der Nutzung immer noch aus wie neu und funktioniert tadellos. Warum ist das so? Zum einen weil das Ding wahnsinnig gut verarbeitet ist und aus hochwertigen Materialien besteht. Zum anderen, weil der Druck des Capos dynamisch ist und sich der jeweiligen Gitarre anpasst. Das heißt, man nehme den Capo, klemme ihn über die Saiten und drücke ihn so fest wie nötig, damit auf allen Saiten ausreichender Druck herrscht. Simples Prinzip, welches ein schnelles anbringen des Capos verspricht, ohne dass dieser zu starken Kräften ausgesetzt ist. Einer meiner anderen Capos, war ähnlich leicht anzubringen. Diesen musste man nur auseinander drücken, über den gewünschten Bund führen und loslassen. Die Rückstellkraft der Feder hat den Rest gemacht. Leider habe ich ausgerechnet diesen Capo immer an einer Gitarre mit relativ breitem Griffbrett genutzt, sodass die starke und statische (also immer gleich starke) Spannkraft des Capos diesen letztlich auseinander gebrochen hat.Auch die Gummifläche die direkt den Saiten aufliegt weist bei diesem Capo keine Abnutzung auf, während sie bei einem meiner anderen Capos völlig abgenutzt ist. Und dazu gibt es noch eine lebenslange Garantie! Für mich lässt das Produkt wirklich keine Wünsche offen!Fazit: Durch die einfache Mechanik leicht und immer mit idealem Druck anzubringen (ich hatte selbst noch nie das Problem, dass der Capo nicht genügend Druck ausüben konnte). Durch die hochwertige Verarbeitung und die guten Materialien einer der robustesten Capos die es gibt. Wenn doch mal was ist, kann man sich auf die Garantie verlassen. Ich bin seit Jahren mit diesem Capo zufrieden und würde ihn mir jederzeit wieder kaufen!

È un ottimo capotasto per chitarra classica. L'ho preso usato e quindi mi costava di meno il modello placcato oro. Temevo di sembrare un gangster e invece è molto elegante e non volgare, sta bene con i colori del legno dello strumento. Costa molto ma fa molto bene il suo lavoro e soprattutto non rovina lo strumento, la gomma è bella e protettiva.Una cosa da considerare, rimangono le i pronte digitali sull'oro, quindi se siete maniaci come me dovrete pulirlo spesso

Uso da anni i capotasti G7TH sia sulle mie acustiche sia sulle elettriche. Ne tengo uno nella varie custodie delle chitarre. Intonazione e regolazione perfetta, unita a comodità e facilità nel metterlo e toglierlo, peso e dimensioni ottimali. Nel corso degli anni ne ho usati moltissimi, approdando, poi definitivamente al G7TH. Anche il modello per 12 string guitars è perfetto. Ho avuto solo un problema, anni fa col Performance (non il 2 attuale, ma il suo predecessore) ed è bastata una mail, senza tante spiegazioni, perché la G7TH me ne inviasse uno nuovo in tempo lampo. Il capo non è indicato per chitarre classiche, per le quali fanno un modello specifico. Spedizione, Amazon Prime, impeccabile.

Non sono un chitarrista professionista e anche definirmi dilettante è troppo. È il secondo capotasto che possiedo, il primo è il più economico g7th a pinza. Posso dire che tra i due la differenza di prezzo 15 circa l'uno e 30 circa l'altro ci sta tutta. Oltre ai materiali e alla cura dei dettagli che passa tra i due prodotti, il Performance 2 ha il pregio di poter regolare la pressione sulle corde (su tutte contemporaneamente) cosa non possibile nel modello a pinza. Dal punto di vista del design e dei materiali si presenta davvero molto bene. L'ho provato su due chitarre acustiche e su una ho scoperto che fa un po' fatica ad essere regolato al primo tasto per via della forma del manico, si riesce ma cnon è così immediato il risultato… sull'altra chitarra non ho questo problema. Quindi è un questione relativa alla forma del manico della chitarra, il che suggerisce come sia sempre meglio provare gli optional sulla chitarra alla quale sono destinati. In definitiva sono molto contento di questo acquisto, lo trovo davvero un bellissimo oggetto, bello ma anche pratico e funzionale.

Acquistato dopo svariati tentativi di trovare il capotasto perfetto. Mi sono fidato dei commenti delle altre persone, e devo dire che oltre ad essere un bel oggetto esteticamente, molto piccolo, fa in modo egregio il suo lavoro. Facilissimo da mettere e togliere con una mano e possibilità di regolare la pressione sulle corde, sempre con una mano. Prezzo un pò alto ma le vate tutti.Lo consiglio!!

antes de comprarla mire valoraciones, y estas eran buenas, cumple perfectamente en mi guitarra acústica, fácil de poner y quitar la calidad y apariencia es buena, por lo que estoy contento con ella, precio es algo mas caro que otros capo pero merece la pena, porque no produce trasteo.

Un poco caro, pero mirándolo, puede durar más que la guitarra ...Es realmente fácil de usar, sujeta muy bien y el sonido es limpio. No entiendo por qué otras personas dicen que es difícil de usar con una mano, o para apoyarla en la cabeza ...Una nota de advertencia:Obtuve la versión de capo acústica 'normal', pero tengo una guitarra acústica clásica (con una tabla de trastes muy ancha), sin embargo, funciona bastante bien, pero solo hasta el 4º traste (5º traste con un poco de flexión de la 1ra cuerda).Debería haber obtenido la versión acústica clásica, pero como no la necesito para nada después del 4to traste, estoy bastante contento con ella.

A mio avviso, eccellente capotasto, di ottima fattura e robustezza. Linea splendida e discreta, è piccolissimo e per nulla ingombrante.Il capo in questione è il Performance 2 (due), anche se nel titolo non è specificato e si potrebbe pensare che sia il primo modello.In alcune recensioni ho letto di corde che friggono, o comunque di un serraggio non troppo preciso o problematico: Io suono due Taylor acustiche, con mute rispettivamente da .012 e .013 al mi cantino e il capo chiude perfettamente su entrambe, con la pressione desiderata, su ogni corda e su tutta la lunghezza del manico.Imballaggio perfetto, spedizione LAMPO. Assolutamente soddisfatto.

Il capotasto è stabile, comodo da inserire e altrettanto rapido da rimuovere. La pressione sulle corde è uniforme e la 'ditorsione' del suono tipica di alcuni capotasti è nulla. Il capotasto è compatto: non disturba per niente l'azione della mano sulla tastiera. Fra gli aspetti meno positivi che sulla Rete si trovano del prodotto, viene evidenziata la sua pesantezza: a mio parere il prodotto non è per nulla pesante, anzi, il classico capotasto 'a molla' lo è molto di più. Acquisto consigliato!!!

Con quello che l'ho pagato ne compravo 4 che funzionavano forse anche meglio.Parlo da chitarrista di mestiere, ne ho anche altri di capotasti tra i più noti in commercio, sicuramente tutti migliori di questo.Non bado a spese per la strumentazione, ma questo non li vale gli euro spesi.'na vitaccia!

No se como funcinona con guitarra española,pero con acustica es impresionante no se mueve,no hay ruido en las cuedas, no desafina nada, muy buen material ,con el acolchado no daña los mastiles de mis guitarras en resumen un cejilla sobresaliente, por cierto el precio no me parece caro para las prestaciones que ofrece.

Ho comprato questo capotasto per non avere compromessi... Invece la sua efficacia probabilmente dipende molto dal tipo di manico dove viene impiegato.. Sulla mia Yamaha ls ho qualche problema soprattutto nel primo tasto dove il mi cantino e la corda "Si" molte volte non vengono ben schiacciate e quindi il suono frigge... Mi è capitato anche con la corda Sol... Bisogna schiacciarlo molto bene tuttavia non è una garanzia di capotasto.... mi aspettavo molto di più visto il prezzo....
