These cargo shorts are a bargain! True to size. Color correct. Material is a bit lighter weight than other brands, but I think that is what makes them so comfortable compared to other cargo shorts. Pockets are deep and well positioned. Buttons vs Velcro? Both have advantages and disadvantages so that’s a wash. Some reviewers say the main closure button above the zipper has come loose/fallen off soon after purchase. The day after I purchased these shorts I used some heavy thread and reinforced the stitching of that button. Ordered two more pair and have the thread on the needle ready to reinforce the closure buttons. Again, I often wear cargo shorts and these are truly the most comfortable I’ve worn. Guess only time will tell the durability of the fabric. My guess is these cargo shorts are the best bang for the buck I’ve ever come across.

My favorite cargo shorts are Lee Wyoming, but they’re not really all that cheap. This is where these Amazon Essentials shorts come in. I needed an extra pair for an upcoming trip, so in lieu of spending the cash on some more Lee’s, I thought I’d give these a shot. I’m very pleased with the quality and fit. The length is great too. It’s very likely I’ll be ordering more of these as my older shorts wear out.There are a few suggestions I have to make a great product even better, though. First, the Lee cargo shorts have a dedicated phone pocket on the right side. Would love to see that on these shorts. Also, would love for the pockets to be a bit deeper.Lastly, I haven’t had a problem with it, but I did see a complaint on another review about the button on the pockets. They’re covered by a sewn flap, which could cause some to have trouble undoing the button. I haven’t had that experience at all, but just be aware.Overall a very nice set of shorts and great quality for the price. Highly recommended.

Not a fan of elastic waist but band is wide and hopefully holds up to wash n wear. Fabric stretch and weight is perfect, length for me just above knee. Stitching, pocket detail seems reasonable. Ordering two more.Update: Zippers and fabric hold up well. Inserted a shoestring on inside of waistband to keep em up when active. Had stitching failure on crotch, debating cost of taking em to seamstress as they’re pretty giod shorts. Did order two more, one (dark blue) went unfilled (popular color?) other cane with back pocket folded and stitched funky but not worth hassle of return. Drop to 4 stars as long as price stays on low end.Jun 23 update - 4+ … holding up well. Zippers, stitching all remain functional through very active use. Only thing that could improve these is a built in drawstring as they are pretty slippy against synthetic briefs - the perfect combo for heat/humidity/active environs.

The fit on these shorts is great. The material is obviously durable. I have no issues at all with the construction.

Nice and lighter weight shorts than others but the waist size runs a bit small, I would size one up. Feels softer than most and a bit thinner which I prefer.

Absolutely worth every penny for these shorts.

The package was delivered very quickly. It is good looking short as shown in the picture. The quality is average. But the size it is a bit large. I ordered a few shorts come in the same package with same size but this one is the largest. But I bought this one when it was on big sale, so I am going to keep it anyway.

My job now allows us to wear shorts, so I was scrambling to find some cargo shorts ASAP. Amazon Basics’ price and good reviews intrigued me, so I bought one pair for a trial.It is a lightweight, 100% cotton material, so it breathes well and dries fairly quickly. I also like the metal zipper, which to me is better than plastic. I’m not sure if it’s YKK, but thus far it’s held up very well.It uses a sewn-on main button, but it’s not a big deal, since it can be easily replaced with a jeans-style metal rivet should it ever break.Others have negatively commented on the hard to reach, hard to use security buttons for the cargo and back pockets, but I don’t use them anyway, so for me it’s a non-issue. And besides, I’d much rather have buttons over hook-and-loop closures.About the only knocks I have are:1. It’s a little on the baggy side. I’d much rather have a slimmer fit.2. The 10” inseam is a bit long for me. With my 5’5” height, coupled with my short legs, the cuff ends up, by midshift, past my knees, which makes kneeling a problem. And because the leg openings end up past my knees, it makes me look even shorter. Almost Hobbit-like, LOL3. Back pockets are not deep enough to securely hold my wallet, so I’ve been storing it in one of the side pockets.If Amazon Basics made this in a 9” length, with a slimmer fit, and used a polyester/cotton blend of 60/40, it would be much more durable and fade resistant.Overall, despite some minor issues, I like these better than my Dickies in 11-inch length. Those I’ve had to have altered for a better fit. And the Dickies have a smaller zipper opening, which makes using the restroom a bit of a challenge.Although I no longer use the Amazon Basics cargo shorts for work, they still serve admirably around the house. No longer will I have to settle for whatever I can find (cheaply) at garage sales or thrift stores.

Good replacement for the Old Navy cargo shorts I’ve usually bought. Construction seems good, fits comfortably. Durability TBD, but I never buy anything too expensive as I expect they’ll get trashed while I’m doing outdoor work at my cabin anyway.

Son rectos y algo holgados en la pierna lo cual es perfecto para este tipo de pantalón corto, parece buena tela aunque no son pesados. Mido 178 y 74 kg y la W33 me ha quedado bien. Como referencia, en vaqueros Springfield gasto un W32(42EU) y soy de pierna ancha.
