Man, the refill blades are significantly more expensive than your standard double-edge safety razor blades that have huge compatibility with other handles. It shaves well but not enough to justify the significantly higher $cost per blade. Can't recommend.

I have been using the OneBlade Core Safety Razor for about three weeks now and am loving it. I purchased based on reviews for this and other similar razors. As this is my first foray into shaving with a single blade safety razor, I liked the idea of a pivoting head to provide more forgiveness in the shaving angle. The razor came beautifully packaged along with a stand and a box of 10 Feather single edge blades. The instructions are minimal in the box, but loading the razor was pretty simple. I did refer to a couple of the videos for recommendations on transitioning to a single blade safety razor and shaving technique. The OneBlade feels very well constructed and feels good in my hand. I am used to shaving in the shower, with store bought gel, however, I followed the recommendations of using a brush and foam for the first week, just to get the hang of using the razor. I had a couple of minor nicks on the chin the first two shaves, but none since then and have reverted back to shaving in the shower. I am able to get a smooth, close shave and got about seven shaves out of the first blade before I felt it starting to tug. I have a light beard, so not sure how many shaves to expect for a heavier beard. However, at a cost of much less than $1 per blade, I am happy with the durability of the blades. I found the transition to the single edge safety razor easier than some described, and am very happy to have made the OneBlade choice.

I've been using a fixed head single blade razor for the last couple years. I've loved the quality of the shave but ... no matter how carefully I shaved, I always managed to nick myself once or twice. I got tired of dealing with that and decided to try the OneBlade Hybrid razor. Am I glad I did! I get a close, comfortable shave every time. No nicks, no irritation, EVER! This is the best razor I've ever used and I've been shaving a loooong time (I'm 68 years old). Only downside, the blades are proprietary, can't use anything else. They're great for the first shave. The second shave they begin to pull. I have a dense, coarse beard which doesn't help. Since I only shave 2-3 times per week, I've accepted the fact I just need to use a new blade every shave. I can only say: It's worth it.

You can tell its a good quality product, although I think I received a used product. The razor head has scratches on it and so does the handle!! Clearly an item someone had returned that was sold. The packaging of the box had no plastic not even a tape. Quite dissatisfied with amazon.

Work well, similar to a double edge actually.
