No, the Perfect Defense is not a detangler product.

That is exactly how I used it. My hairdresser first used it on me and recommended it. I bought it, used it on my dry hair and it seemed to prevent any damage to my hair and made straight ironing easier.

I don’t think it reduces dry time. It’s a heat protectant for your hair. Can be used on damp hair when blow drying or on dry hair prior to using a curling iron or straightener, which is how I used it.
