I wanted to love this camera
I wanted to love this camera, as a good compromise w/ price and function. I has different settings for wide angle viewing, and some unique features as well. The manual is worthless. I had to spend a fair bit of time online to figure out the wifi settings (thanks amazon reviews video). The main issue is the video quality. Most definitely not 1080p. The 720p videos from an older gopro are MUCH better in quality. Also, there is significant judder/frame drops when recording at 1080p/60fps. I event bought a much higher speed micro SD thinking that was the problem, but it wasn't. Not sure if I got a lemon, or the other reviews are recording at a lower frame rate, etc, but this one did not live up to the hype.Retraction: I returned this camera to amazon (excellent service btw) and bought an older gopro. Imagine my surprise when I had the same capture and playback issues w/ the gopro. I took the cards to a different computer and then all was fine. So in retrospect, I blamed the camera for what may be a video card issue on my pc (although why it decided to show up now I have no idea). So, this camera is actually probably a good value and worth a shot. Just remember the manual is terrible. FYI, to turn on the wifi, hold down the button on the side and then log into the camera thru your phone. Not in the manual at all.

) I feel I better take real good care of the batteries that came ...
I've only had the camera a couple of days but it seems to work as advertised. My problem has been the manual is practically worthless. There are no pictures and it is poorly written. I'm not sure the company "DBPower" actually exists. Their website is a joke. You can't even find this camera on their website. There is no customer support and they don't respond with answers to any questions. Another concern are the batteries. You can't find these batteries sold anywhere and there doesn't seem to be any external charger that fits these batteries. (I know the batteries charge in the camera but if I want to charge more than one at a time?) I feel I better take real good care of the batteries that came with the camera because I'm not confident I can get any more.UPDATE: The camera actually works very well and takes good videos with good audio. You still can't buy an additional battery or external battery charger. When plugged in, it takes one to three hours to charge up one battery. The "Cam King App" that they recommend using is worthless. It never worked at all. Don't count on the instruction manual or any form of customer support. It's too bad because this is actually a pretty good camera but with pretty dismal support.

Overall, this action camera takes smooth videos and great quality pictures.
The media could not be loaded. This is my second action camera purchase and this touchscreen 2.31-inch display was a nice upgrade from my previous one.I love that a thread hole is already built into the bottom of the action camera to allow you to mount it to a shoe for a tripod—no need for extra accessories!A small speaker on the left side of the action camera can be turned on where voice prompts confirm when video recordings start or end, or when pictures are captured. It accepts micro SD cards up to 64GB. Be sure to pick one up with your purchase, as it’s not included. Tip: If you already have a micro SD card and you’ve already formatted it in another device, be sure that it’s formatted in FAT32 before inserting to this action camera. Otherwise this action camera won’t be able to read it.With my SanDisk Extreme 64GB microSDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter (SDSQXVF-064G-GN6MA) [Newest Version ], it allows up to 6.5 hours of Ultra HD recording OR you can capture up to 10,570 pictures at 20MB resolution. For your video recording options, you can choose between 70, 110, 140, and 170 angles, which is nice, as most cameras don’t give you the option to choose. Motion detection can be turned on so that video recording starts when motion is detected—after a few seconds of being motionless video will automatically stop. You can also select from 3, 5, or 10-minute loop recordings—perfect if you want to use this thing as a dash cam also. For pictures, you can either take single shots or bursts of 3, 5, or 10 shots. You can enable the anti-shaking feature to make sure you get clear, stable shots.Overall, this action camera takes smooth videos and great quality pictures.

Action cam for those who are too active to tell the video quality apart
I like it. It is pretty simple to use. The video looks really good given the size of the thing.downsides: battery could last longer. but it's easy to buy more and it comes with two batteries to start. No external charger, and in camera with 2 amps / 5 watts it takes over an hour.wifi program named in booklet provided by dbpower through google play doesn't even boot on my updated with latest android phone. So to move the files off the device you must remove the sd card as it won't show up connecting the camera directly to a pc.Lots and lots of straps, connectors and a waterproof housing is all provided, saving a few bucks.I don't know if I could tell the difference between this and the $60 model, but if others can, it's worth it I guess. At least I didn't spend many many hundreds!update: some are having trouble figuring out how to format the card. It it confusing because even if you place inside a preformatted card it asks for a card, when you put on in, it powers down.solution:back up any data you want to save on the card.insert sd card. power on.if you are at screen where it asks to 'insert sd card' click power button 3x. swipe the screen right 2x. you should see an icon in the upper right hand corner that looks like an sd card. tap icon, tap yes for format (make sure you backed up any data you wanted as it will be deleted).after this it should work.
