The end of the world is nigh in Talisman: The Harbinger. This expansion introduces the Harbinger, a mysterious figure of prophecy and doom who wanders the realm, with destruction following everywhere he walks. Got this as a Christmas present. We have played it once so far and realized half way through that we were playing it wrong lol. It can be a little confusing at first to understand when the harbinger is supposed to come out and leave the board. Once you get it though it gets fun!

...because even if you're sober, this Talisman expansion is going to tie your mind in knots. The expansion's rules can be ambiguous at times, while the rules for the expansion's characters make you want to avoid playing them. While expansions like The Dragon and Blood Moon might add a few modifications to make Talisman a little more interesting, The Harbinger feels more like you're multitasking on a busy day at work, and mistakes are almost inevitable. Its challenging difficulty certainly does make you feel like the world is ending, though, because I've played it twice, thus far, and both games ended in all players getting butchered. I won't say it's bad, but it's certainly not the best Talisman expansion, and will take several plays to fully grasp everything that's happening.
