Easy to prepare and delicious
This Six Pack of prepared spices for making chicken curry is another in the recent increase in products making ethnic cuisine easier to make. Usually the added convenience is at the expense of flavor, e.g.-microwaveable frozen chicken curry. When trying to get authentic flavor without spending an inordinate amount of time, there are many products (e.g., Shan) which give you packs of prepared spice mix. However, most of these require the addition of other spices (i.e., garlic and ginger paste) making the cooking process more time consuming.Kitchen's of India Curry Paste gives you all the spices that one needs to make chicken curry that tastes just like mom's. In fact, mom ordered a package! Total time from addition of chicken and water is about 40 minutes and the results are great. Each package gives you enough for a meal for two.Only drawback is that you can't reduce the "chili hotness" without reducing flavor of other spices; however, this curry paste is milder than most similar products. If anything, you may want to add some chili pepper to taste.Overall a great product for quickly and relatively inexpensively making authentic Indian chicken curry.

Sooo good! Perfect!
Exactly what I was looking for after years of eating Indian food abroad. This is going into our family’s weekly rotation. We cut up boneless, skinless chicken thighs and it was amazing! We’ll probably try it with eggs next. Someone wrote a review saying it is spicy but I’m guessing it’s someone that thinks pepper is spicy. lol!

Use as Directed
I used this once and tried to “upgrade” the recommended preparation by using boned chicken marinated in yogurt and Indian spice. Fail. I also want to try with coconut milk, but I have bad juju about that too. I’d guess that the recommended preparation is probably the best bet, but this will never top the Japanese Golden Curry for me.

For what it is, it rocks!
This is basically inexpensive instant curry to which you add vegetables and chicken. The result is better than the average Indian restaurant IMO because you are adding fresh chicken, onions, potatoes, carrots, cilantro or whatever else you want to put in it. Put this on basmati rice and the result is a very good Indian curry dish not that far off from a good Indian restaurant.

Tastes great
Easy meal prep: take everything in your fridge and make a curry :) Take note of the price and the amount.. I have noticed sometimes the price is for a package of 6 (usually decent price) or for a single package (way too expensive).I won't take off a star for this but I did recently get Chicken Tikka paste instead of Butter Chicken paste. Both are good, but not what I ordered. There were two different barcodes on the package which is probably the mix-up.

One Of My Favorites
This is one of my favorite products. I've bought the individual pouches in the store, but this a good value and lets me stock up so as to have this option readily available in my pantry. I like to make a simple, hearty stew using the curry paste, water, diced chicken, carrots, and potatoes. It's easy, and great to have on cold days. That's just one option, though...there's lots of other things that you can do to create Indian-style dishes with these. The only other thing I'd mention is that this is a very mild curry base. If that's to your liking, then by all means, get this product. If you like your curry a little spicy (like me), I'd recommend getting the Vindaloo paste instead. Either that, or you can always add your own spices to generate some heat!
