Fabulous Buy on a Silver Snake Chain!
I purchased two of these for my "gift stash" at the low, low price offered (under $16 for both). They arrived yesterday, and as another reviewer stated, they come very nicely packaged. Both look just as pictured on Amazon's website, other than the gift box does say Wilson & Son, which is a plus. Each chain is substantial and bright white silver with a nice size/weight lobster clasp. They are real sterling silver, as stamped on the tag. While I question the product page "original price" of well over $100, I know this type of chain is sold locally for Pandora-type charm necklaces, and they run upwards of $50.00. One store has an original price of a chain very much like this one at $79.99, so even with 60% off, it would cost $31.99. Under $16.00 for TWO is much better! This snake chain is a terrific, low cost and classy-looking stocking stuffer or gift for a friend, neice, etc. It's truly one of my best buys for silver jewelry on Amazon.

Surprisingly nice
I have to admit, I didn't expect for the chain to look as nice as it did. It's not at all flimsy like I thought it would be for under $7. It's not real Silver, it's plated Silver which is stated on the description & it makes sense considering the price. I haven't had any bad reactions...yet. I like it. I wish I could've found the same chain in longer lengths.

looks nice...not perfect
I purchased this chain in hopes that I could wear it with a pendant. The pendant is pretty light and the chain is plenty sturdy for it, but the clasp is actually fairly heavy so it is forever working it's way to the front of my neck. I turn it around at least 10 times a day. Maybe if I put a heavier pendant on it, that wouldn't happen. If you plan to wear it without a heavy pendant, having to turn it around all the time is a pain. Still, for $9, it is not bad. It has not changed color in any way and I have been wearing it 24 hours a day for at least 3 weeks now.

Great value!
Great value, nicely made, larger spring claw clip piece, heavier weight with the 2mm chain, looks great with any piece. Pleasantly surprised at weight of piece! Very shiny & seems to have a non-tarnish coating that seems to be working so far.I simply added some small size rings to the loop end to extend the length options for the wearer. Very sturdy, will take larger stone weighty pieces.Soft & silky feel next to skin, does not catch hairs in chain as box chain or other type chains sometimes do...so is a plus for women with longer hair. All in all a great value with great pricing.

General Wear turns this chain
I like to get some general wear out of my purchases before commenting. This chain was a true disappointment. After just three months I had to take the chain off because it was breaking my skin out with a rash. The chain was turning brown, and when I tried to clean it with a designated jewelry cleaner rag kit, it did nothing. And the charm has also lost its luster. Never had anything break me out in my entire life. Whatever they are using in Italy is not Sterling Silver!

Looks GREAT - But ...TURNED MY NECK GREEN!
UPDATE 2/18/12 - A FEW MONTHS LATER NOW, THE SELLER HAS CHANGED THE TITLE TO SAY "SILVER PLATED"ORIGINAL REVIEW AND PREVIOUS UPDATES BELOW:I bought one of these chains for under seven bucks. I had wanted it for a particular pendant. I was very curious as to what I would receive since the price was sooo low.The package just arrived and the necklace comes in a beige gift box which reads "Wilson & Son" in gold script and then inside the box, the necklace is in a small ziploc type tiny baggie, along with a very nice looking leather/pleather? beige pouch which also has "Wilson & Sons" scripted in gold lettering. It was definitely a nice presentation for the price. It does not come in the tan cardboard box with cotton as shown in the pics here on the product page. Also, my chain did NOT have the little circle hanging on it stamped "925" which is shown in the 4th picture here on the product page.I take the necklace out of the tiny pouch and am amazed by the thickness of the chain and the nice substantial clasp. It definitely DOES NOT look like a seven dollar chain. The clasp is substantial, but when looking closely at it, it does have a very cheap look to it. The clasp does not look like real sterling. The clasp is also NOT STAMPED 925.Now, the "but" comes in.. I am really wondering wether or not this is actually real sterling silver. It is almost too shiny, too silver (if that makes sense?) The clasp is not stamped. The only "925" stamp is found on a tiny ring which is connected to another ring and then that ring is connected to the clasp. The end caps on the chain (where is connects to the rings and then the clasp) are also not stamped. I must say that every chain I have ever owned, wether (white)gold or silver, have been stamped on the clasps as well and also on the endcaps on chains that do have the endcaps. So, while it looks great and seemed to be a super steal of a deal, I am left wondering if it is real or not.The price was amazing and I suppose even for a "fake" chain it still looks good, however I would have never willingly/knowingly bought a "fake" chain.I did do a websearch for "Wilson & Son" and there is a jewelry store in NY, so I guess it is possible that the chains are real, assuming they came from this jeweller. They do have a website which is "under construction" at the moment and inoperable. The scripting on the box and pouch does match the scripting on the website in their logo.UPDATE 1/4/12 - THIS CHAIN HAS STARTED TURNING MY WHITE TSHIRT COLLARS GREEN. This is not normal for a sterling chain, in my experience, unless it would come into contact with certain chemicals. Of course those chemicals are NOT on my skin or clothing, so there is no good reason as to why it should be turning colors on me unless it is not actual sterling. I also have nasty green staining across the whole back of my neck. THESE CHAINS ARE NOT REAL.I uploaded a pic of the back of my neck so you could see it.

Cute necklace
I was wearing this necklace all day, every day. Never took it off. Is still as beautiful, shiny as the day I got it. But it started pulling the hairs at the nape of my neck. I took it off and have not put it back on since. I really love the necklace, just wish it didn't pull my hair!

Gorgeous
I was really surprised to see that someone gave this one star. Sometimes people have allergic reactions to metals, it does not mean it is not real.I ordered this for a pendant that I had. I should have ordered a 1 mm, because the charm would not fit on it. However it was so pretty and such a great price, I decided to keep it and put another charm on it. It looks very expensive, not a flimsy chain at all, should not be easy to break. I would definetly recommend buying this, In fact I immediately ordered my mom this chain also as a Christmas present. I found her a great cross to go on it.
