I like it, so much smaller than my old Rode mic's
The Mic Air works really well. I initially had problems pairing it with my X5, but a firmware update fixed that, I am now running v1.4.2 of the firmware.I tested the receiver with my An droid phone (Android v16), and it works well there too. There is an added benefit I didn't realize, you can connect two microphones to the receiver. Nice for doing interviews.I've been very pleased with the audio quality and the battery life. I recommend. The price is good as well.On the "cons" side, the microphone is very small and a little fidgity in large hands

Compact and Great Quality.
Super compact and great sound quality. The mic connects to the X5 seamlessly and has multiple mounting options. It also includes a wind buffer ring and compact carrying case. You have options to select either sound track from the onboard mic or this BT mic which improves functionality. I have only used a few times so I am not sure of the overall battery life, but it made it through one X5 extended battery and charged quickly out of the box. I am concerned about losing it, especially when recording on a motorcycle or OneWheel, so I would prefer if there was a snap-mount or mounting loop for a safety lanyard. The magnet mount seems strong but it would still be easy to knock off and lose - its only about the diameter of a US Quarter.

Not compatible with the Insta360 Ace Pro, yet?
I actually purchased this Insta360 Mic Air to primarily use with my Insta360 Ace Pro, however, it is not compatible with this camera, and unfortunately I wasn't aware of that. I do have an Insta360 X5 which it is compatible with, and it does work just fine with it. Once out of the box, I did have to read the instructions first in reference to bluetooth pairing without the receiver (RX) as the process wasn't actually straight forward for me. I have an Insta360 Ace Pro and not the Insta360 Ace Pro 2, so hopefully, a future firmware update down the road will make it available for use with my Insta360 Ace Pro. Who knows?

Stay away from insta360 mic air
Stay away from these mic, it looks great but is not reliable, sometimes it just works like it's supposed to, but very often it just doesn't connect to the camera, think you are on vacations on the beach and want to start a video describing where you are, turn on the camera, turn on the previously connected mic air and it simple doesn't work, it changes a magical moment of your trip on to one that sucks

Reliable, Compact, and Surprisingly Versatile Mic for the Ace Pro 2
I’ve been using this transmitter with my Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and it’s been a smooth experience from the start. Setup was seamless. It connected to the camera instantly and has stayed connected without any of the dropout issues I’ve seen mentioned in other reviews. Your mileage may vary, but for me, it's been rock solid. The sound quality is right in line with other Bluetooth mics I’ve used in this price range. It handles voice well and the built-in noise reduction gives recordings a clean and polished feel, even in mildly noisy environments. It won’t replace a high-end shotgun mic in a soundproof studio, but for on-the-go streaming or vlogging, it's more than capable. One of the best features is that you don’t need a separate receiver. The transmitter pairs directly with the camera, which helps keep the gear load light and the setup clean. That’s a big plus if you’re trying to stay mobile or keep your rig minimal.I really appreciate the four different wearing options. The magnetic system is clever and strong, and the classic clip still works great. It’s nice to have choices depending on your outfit or activity. Also, the included windscreen (a mini dead cat) is part of a flexible rubber ring that adds some extra protection to the mic itself, which is a thoughtful touch.Battery life has been great so far. I haven't run it down during a shoot yet, and the stated 10 hours seems accurate. The only real gripe I have is the proprietary charging cable. I get why they might have gone that route, but it feels like a missed opportunity to use a more standard magnetic charging connector. It’s not enough to knock off a star, but I’d love to see that improved in the next version.Bonus points for showing audio levels on the camera screen when the mic is connected. That’s more a camera feature than a mic feature, but it makes a big difference when monitoring sound on the go.If you’re using an Ace Pro 2 or X5, this mic is a no-brainer. Compact, functional, and thoughtfully designed. Just don’t lose that charging cable!

Sounds great, and easy to set up.
For about $50, this mic is a great companion for the X5.Because it connects directly to the camera, there's no need to pair it with a receiver, then mount a receiver near your 360 camera. Sure, it can be done with adapters and more parts, but why go through that kind of hassle? Once this mic is connected to the X5, it simply works, and works well.Voice quality is on par with other name brand consumer wireless mic systems, including ambient noise reduction that doesn't require a bunch of tuning.Packed in a small case, the mic comes with a couple options for mounting, including a magnet, clip, and pendant. I did not test the wind screen, but it's fluffy enough to work.
