Don't know whats wrong with everyone saying the hole is drilled off center. It's like that so it works on M1 Garands and M1As.

Works. (1,2). Offset circles accommodate squared locking screw (3). You have to rotate until it fits (4,5).You can always finger guide it, but this is a handy dandy tool.
