Nintendo Wii Console, White (Renewed)

Pros - It runs discs perfect, set up nice, sensor and controller perfect, all slots for controllers and memory cards work, instructions for pairing the wiimote to the device is included, as well as a business card that MAY of had a contact number or email- I honestly forgot since its been about 2 months since I've unboxed it. Ive played both Wii and Gamecube titles from disc and had 0 freezes or anything fishy to effect my gameplay. Honestly the frame rate seemed better than I remember my one from childhood having- maybe its just me.Cons - Im noticing though that the Wii settings in the start menu dont seem to stick? It seems I must switch my screen ratio and controller volume every time I play. It doesnt annoy me to the point where its a real bother in my mind, but worth noting in case thats a deal breaker for you (Its set to standard by default). The controller is defaulted to too high a volume for me, so I simply put a piece of electrical tape over the speaker to muffle it when I['m too lazy or] forget to change volumes and its been fine.I want to also warn people that come across this too to save you a panic attack: my wavebird controller made the system have a hard time trying to... register it? So, I plugged it in and it wasnt working with my game, even though the indicator said my controller was on and responding to my gestures. About 30 seconds later, it would kick on and kept working until I turned it off. This happened for the first week give or take, maybe 10 uses before it started being immediately responsive as soon as the system booted up. Have had zero problems with it since, but I had to mention that so no one here has their heart momentarily sink while they have thousand year door, galaxy, and twlight princess all ready to go lolIve kept it running for a period of 4 days consecutively, use and abuse it, and it doesnt even get warm sometimes or hum. It's so so pindrop quiet which I love. Ill just wrap it up and say, this was the best priced system I could find with the basics to get you going. Im totally happy with it, and would recommend buying from this vendor.

The media could not be loaded. I bought a Wii from a different listing a couple of weeks ago and found out that though the Wii turns on, it doesn’t sync with the remote, so I couldn’t get past the loading screen (please see my video). I returned it and received my refund, which I used to buy this Wii about a week ago, hoping that it would be a different seller and console. I received the Wii, only to see that it came from the same seller (DKoldies), so I am certain they sent me the exact same Wii that I returned AND DOESNT WORK. I attempted to set up the Wii, only to be proven right. It doesn’t work, despite the fact that I put fresh batteries in the remote.I am very upset and frustrated that I received a Wii that doesn’t work TWICE. Now I will be returning this Wii for the second time and will not be buying a replacement, as DKoldies clearly don’t check whether the Wii actually works.

The one we received looked great and packaged really well, but there was lag, too much to play games, requested a replacement, it was sent out fast and looks great, plays well, speed and quality of replacement was awesome! Very happy!

The wii reviews i saw were mostly a gamble on were you get a broken wii or a ok working one.I got a ok condition wii the memory card for the game cube was not closing in completely and the disc slot made a weird rudder sound but still works and the controller is unofficial and i recommend that you should buy wii controllers separately that are official overall i would rate it 8/10 only for my wii yours might be different and i was able to homebrew it myself and it did not come modded please check the other reviews for a more compacted review.update umm my wii disc reader broke(we knew this would happen) so that’s not good but i have a wii u now so it’s fine ish if your buying this wii make sure you have a backup and HOMEBREW IT because that disc reader is unreliable your going to have to result to other ways of obtaining your games most likely. but every thing else is good except not being able to play ctgp-revolution on the console it was made for but on its successor but main thing to take away from here is learn how to fix wiis have backups for your wii and you are low key kinda gambling cuz your wiis condition is randomized and buy a wii u instead it dose everything a wii dose and better and take some time to think about what your actually buying cuz this is kinda no good man

The original Wii (maybe 15 years) started out not being able to read the discs at times and removing the disc and putting it in seemed to resolve the issue. Cleaning the disc seemed to help, but over time some discs would no longer work, and finally none.After swapping the SD and older memory, we were able to pick up where we left off.The one mistake I made was not swapping the SD memory before testing any games. One of our favorite games we have played for years, would not show the progression. I had to delete the newly created profile and recover from my original SD. Now all is well and we are able to enjoy the games we've played for many years.

I remember loving the Wii, I had so many nostalgic memories that were unlocked the moment this system booted up. I was really worried ordering this, I have never gotten a refurbished or renewed game console before, and with the age of wii technology I was really expecting it to be a dud.I was so wrong. This thing works like new. You have to order a hdmi adapter for the wii unless you are hooking it up to a tv that still has AV cable connections, but that is not an issue. For the price, and the quality of this renewed console, I would HIGHLY recommend buying this if you are looking for a wii.The best part is, even if you are worried about the console not working, the customer service is quick and helpful. The wii remote that came with my wii had a busted IR sensor. I messaged the seller, and within 10 minutes they said that they would send me a replacement.10/10 Would recommend.

The only thing wrong is I didn't get a hmdi cord with it
