My hair is about 7/ Blonde. Left the dye in for 45 minutes before washing out. Dried, it was a pretty teal color. It stained nothing but the t-shirt I was wearing at the time of dyeing. (It even washed off surfaces like the countertop and linoleum.) It bled a little every shower (turned the water a bit blue), but stained nothing (not my skin, not my towel, nothing). The first few showers (over the course of a couple weeks) there was little to no change in color. Then I noticed it getting lighter and more faded. Now, 5 weeks after dyeing, I think it looks a little gross, but my hair definitely still looks a little green-blue-grey-blonde. Like if you look up chlorine turning blonde hair green, but less vivid. I dyed about a foot of my hair and I still have some dye left over, so I might do this again!

Okay, some context- I had bleached and coloured my hair before, around beginning last year. It was the rainbow hair- green, pink, indigo, purple and blue. Only the blue remained (washing out seperate sections is really tricky). So this year all that remained was a lot of blond and light teal near the ends. It looked damaged and odd so I decided to use the manic panic blue to deepen the colour in the edges. It worked out amazingly! I put it all over (I have some greying near the roots too) and as you can see, it came out pretty darn cool. Added bonus was that it didn't bleed AT ALL! I remember all that unpleasant bleeding of colours on my back, dress and ears as I sweated. My fingers would be rinsed in colour , every time I ran them through my hair. And all that was a professional Salon work. This time, the towel that I used to dry my hair after washing the dye too didn't get any colour whatsoever. I put it on dry hair that I had shampooed a day back (no conditioner). I left it for a few hours 2-3. Rinsed it off throughly. My hair feels very clean and conditioned, so I didn't shampoo again. I have washed it since, it didn't bleed. So A++++++++++. One thing to note. It works better on bleached hair than grey hair. My Grey's got a transparent blue sheen but my bleached ends got an opaque blue colour.

Instructions indicated 1 jar for every 4-5" of hair. She has 24" of hair. I didn't realize how much hair she has until we had committed to a budget. I used Manic Panic Flash Lightning 40 bleach. Best ever bleach. I used 4 bottles. We could have used 6. We ad 5 jars of color. Could have used 6 jars or more. Used 3 for initial coloring. Waited a week and used the remaining 2 jars for a touch-up. Not sure why we ended up with teal and not a darker blue as shown on the jar. Possibly we didn't use enough color. We are happy with how it is. The picture shows uneven areas. More color would have solved this. She has a tender head neither the bleach nor the color aggravated her scalp or skin. The aroma was pleasant. I didn't rate longevity as it is a semi-permanent color and a little washes out with shampooing. For 4 years we've used other products and have had hair colored by a salon so we have experience with the process. Highly recommended Manic Panic. Use the gloves and cap. Protect your clothes, use old towels. I spray the tub with Pam or something close so the color isn't absorbed into the finish.

The color was super pretty but faded super fast, as most blues due unfortunately. The color lasted about a month and faded into a green teal/grey which wasn’t the prettiest color. The dye smelled nice and was easy to clean up off of counter tops and skin.
