What is the scale for....
What is the scale for.... it has zero reference to a zero point of the edge of the blade or anything. It looks good but has 100% no value unless you want to do the math (taking the difference of your zero point and setting the off set). Other than that, its solid and does not slip. Its just the scale on it is 100% useless

Well-made item
This item won't fit my saw, but I already knew that. My saw is an old Craftsman and has oddball slots for the miter gauge. I'm going to adapt it to fit. It is really well made and I like it.
