A Box Full of Laughs!
I don't know what genius thought up this game, but it is SUCH a fun time, and has become a staple at most of my game nights and family gatherings. While this game may not be for the easily embarrassed, cause it asks you to do silly things like sing, dance, act things out, and ask your foot for permission every time you speak (yes this happened to me), it always results in hilarious time's. We have seriously cried laughing playing this game. You will not be disappointed if you bring this out the next time you have you friends over, just be warned that you are kinda screwed if you get the card where you have to constantly yell "the chickens are on fire" in order to try to get someone to say "apple" before the time runs out!

Great Game But Not For Everybody
I bought Quelf based on my personality, I'm a pretty goofy person and love to laugh. I host a lot of game nights in my area so I Knew This Game Wouldn't Be appropriate in any of the selected venues I host at, but I also host a lot of family game nights so that's also a reason I decided to purchase Quelf. I hosted a family game night and had this game already set up and explained the rules and everyone demanded we play a new game because they don't like acting sillySo point of review is if your a fun person and loves to laugh at yourself and your company can also then this game is for you. But if your in a situation like me where other people are too serious ( yuck) then think before you by, I think this will sit on my shelf. But Great game, very fun and easy to learn.

The friend was right--it is fun and gets the whole family acting silly and laughing
A friend told me about this game but I couldn't recall the name of it or the friend who told me about it, so I did a search to find a game that gave directions of silly things you had to do and came up with Quelf. The friend was right--it is fun and gets the whole family acting silly and laughing.I bought three of them for Christmas for adult children and their families. I've played it with two of the families. One family has 12 and 13 year old girls, and the other was my newlywed daughter and her husband, along with my husband and another grown son. In each case we had a blast. It is easy to set up, easy to play, moves along quickly and since many of the directions involve multiple players, everyone is involved throughout the game. The only negative is that it is made in China. Augghhhh!

Crazy fun!
We originally played this game with some friends and adored it. After a time of saying,"we need to buy this game," we finally did. We have now played it with our church youth group and our weekly home group. Everyone had had a blast! It is definitely a game to play with a good sized group, though at the beginning we only played with four and it was just as fun. This game has a way of bringing quiet people our of their shell and getting outgoing people to lead the way. There are a lot of cards and plenty of variety as far as action versus question. The only thing I wish is, the original game we played with our friends had game token characters that had back stories and were wacky just like the game, but this version we received does not. I kind of miss that aspect.

Not great for the whole family...
We got this as a gift for my husband's brother's family as a family game. We played this a couple years ago with my family and it was hilarious! However, I think they've updated it and made it less family-friendly. There are now questions like, "What was Marilyn Monroe's bra size?" And, "name all the places you've been naked." Frankly, that doesn't have any place in a family game. They said they'd just take out the ones they weren't comfortable with their children seeing/hearing. It was still fun, but may need some censoring in a family setting.

A fun game with a few possible improvements
This was a very funny game. It amounts to cards that direct you to do or say silly things. If you do them, you stay where you are, otherwise you go back. The tasks are a level of silliness I've not experienced in any other game and some are very elaborate. Some of them were a bit mature so playing with kids is more challenging. A bigger problem in my view is that more of them required leaving the board to go find things to use in some stunt. For example, one we drew required finding ice and putting it down your pants for the time it took to recite something. We were playing in a hotel game room and didn't want to do that. The game would be perfect for silly teens to late 20's I think. But if you draw a card with a stunt or challenge that is not appropriate, you can just draw another card. That is what we did at least. The rules were a little hard to understand, and the playing pieces were tippy, hard to recognize, and too large for the board spaces. They would be easily replaced with other small objects (monopoly pieces would be good) and I don't think this would affect game play much.On the whole we had a very good time with this game, laughed a lot, and were able to enjoy the game with players in the game ranging in age from 11-75.

Best party game I've ever played.
Quelf is such a strange game. Minutes into playing my face is tired from smiling. My normally stoic demeanor is gone and I have become a laughing maniac. It must be the cards. They turned me into this. I wouldn't be singing opera to old men usually and I haven't tried to drink a glass of water upside down since I was a child. No matter. I don't miss being serious anymore. The cards say I have to snort like a pig when I laugh. Don't even have to try any more. It's natural now. I've never done that in my life but for the love of God it just happens now. This game changes people. We had to stop the game before finishing last time and the cards said we had to address my brother as King. We haven't stopped yet. I'm not joking when I say this game has changed my life.
