It's exactly what is says it is...
It's exacltly as described. This is a USB hub in a useful shape with lots of bandwidth. It provides some useful ports and gives easier access to the power button, which is exactly what I wanted.I found that the NVME slot worked with a PCIe based drive and this worked the same as a USB pen drive - an icon on the desktop which can be ejected. This doesn't provide a drive linked onto the filesystem. The front USB-A connectors can't provide the power to run an external CD drive, but this is common with other USB hubs - I just use the front panel USB-C sockets with an adapter.I found that the display port wouldn't drive HDMI monitors via display port to HDMI video adapters or cables. These worked with other machines so it's a odd setup issue. I just used another USB-C hub instead. The speed of access and bandwidth provided was certainly fast enough. No complaints here.

Nice dock
There are some nice highs on this dock, primarily the expansion port it contains to increase your Mac's storage capacity, ideal for supporting you on storing large volumes of videos, images and movies via an M2.NVMe SSD, ranging from 2230 to 2280 and up to 8TB capacity.A single cable interconnects to your Mac allowing you additional ports including a Display Port, which when combined with the existing HDMI port, allows you to have 2 monitors. The lows on this is that there is a USB C port on the rear, but this doesn't offer video capability, a feature that would have been very useful. If you're not too bothered about how you connect your display cables, but just want to have that small edge on your existing Mac Mini M4, then this will the job nicely, but you may be able to find similar docks that may offer additional features, such as dual Display Port or video output on USB C ports.I do like the overall design where you insert both SD and Trans Flash (mini SD) cards at the front of the dock, a much tidier way of connecting rather using these hub designed units that with need to be plugged into a USB A port and/or slide about the desk, this dock simply does keep the workspace clean and tidy.

Good Piece of Kit
Connects easily and instantly on my Mac Mini M4. Note that it takes 2 Thuenderbolt slots to connect but the high speed replacements are fine. Mini sits very nicely on top, says it helps with cooling but not tested that - mu Mini doesn't seem to run too hot anyway, fan has never come on. Nice cutaway at the back for access to the Mini's power switch. Comes with a little screwdriver to access the SSD slot - haven't installed one yet, but don't anticipate any issues. Nice bit of kit, well made and finished, matches the Mac perfectly, ports work fadt and effectively and also looks good.

Persevere!
Works really well. However, on fitting a Samsung 2 T SSD, the Apple minimal refuses to recognise it. The Minimac knows it is there but I cannot access it and all attempts to initialise it have so far failed. This is continuing to be work in progress!!

connectability
Easy to set up and gives so much more connectability to the Mac Mini M4

Not enough usbc ports
Waists 2 usbc ports, needs more usbc ports than usba,b ports, such a shame needed a extra hub to gain usbc ports

A great dock but with limitations
From when I last looked at a dock, a dock was supposed to do allow all cables to be connected to, whilst the main unit was supposed to only have one particular cable or connection between them. This dock has left me and my son who has a Mini M4, but now has a HDMI connected as well as a display port connected to both to get 2 screens up and running. Both of his monitors can take USB C also, but he was using an external dock to connect both monitors and seems he's going to either continue to use that, or have multiple cables connected to both the M4 and Dock. What this lacks is a thunderbolt connection in the dock and/or 2 display ports and that would have filled the gap as it's well advanced enough to cater and accommodate an NVME to expand and support additional storage plus additional slots on the front for SD/ TF cards as well as 2 USB A ports.Given what the design is, it's not a bad one and one that I would still recommend, but it's down to how your setup is. This is a small dock, not obtrusive and looks pretty decent and also complements the desk space, but one that I would steer clear of, if you're one to unplug and move your Mac on a regular basis as it doesn't offer much more as you'll still be unplugging the same, if not more cables with the addition of the dock included.Plus point on this, is that display port that offers 4k resolution and I've always preferred display port over HDMI.
