This has got to be, arguably one of the best amongst so many great books. Having this in my collection is just awesome. Everytime I look at the book I have to read a little of it. It really brings a smile to my face. Thank you

This review not for the novels - which are all worthwhile. It's just a quick note about the edition "More Than Complete Hitchhiker's Guide: Complete & Unabridged" ( Bonded Leather – November, 1987 ).Binding: Excellent. Leather with gold lettering. Gilt pages. Cloth bookmark.I find this to be an exceptional release for these books. I've owned this edition twice. (One was scorched in a fire, thus the replacement.)The edition contains 5 novels: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy; The Restaurant at the End of the Universe; Life, the Universe and Everything, So Long and Thanks for all the Fish; Mostly Harmless. And one short story: Young Zaphod Plays it Safe

This product was sold as "condition: NEW". In fact it should've been labeled at best "New Old Stock" (which I realize is not an option so maybe as "Good Condition" instead). I realize it is a couple decades old, but "new" would not indicate to me that the pages would be yellowed and that the dust cover would have some wear. It looked like it had been pulled on and off a shelf full of books many times. The dust cover didn't have tears or anything like that (although the book was crunched slightly in one corner which I attribute to the trip from the seller to myself (no big deal)). It just definitely had wear on it. On the upside, the price was right so, you know, my son will get a great Christmas present for a little bit of money. Just wish it looked as "new" as advertised, instead of like my copy that I've had for several years.

I first saw this book in my home when I was 7, years ago now, as it belonged to my father. I read it and loved it start to finish maybe three or four times.The book has since been lost in several moves and I am now twenty. I actually purchased two copies, one so I could read it again and one to give to my girlfriend and I love it just as much now as I did then, it's simply brilliant.If you read at above a 4th grade level and/or enjoy reading, I wholeheartedly recommend you read this book and finally understand all those references that have gone over your head all these years.

This is by all means a great book for anyone looking for a collection of the Hitchhiker stories. The feel and look of this bonded leather format is wonderful and makes the overall experience reading feel much classier. One issue that I have is that it doesn't contain the final installment in the series, the last book being "Mostly Harmless" This isn't such a big deal to me since I have the Ultimate Guide from awhile back. But it is disappointing to have such a nice looking book missing the last chunk of the series. I am judging this off of looking at the contents page which ends after the "So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish" book.

Im very happy I purchased this book.Having never read the series I wasn't sure what to expect at all.I had a hard time putting this marvelous book down!Not only is the book itself made well, the design on the cover is wonderful.Im glad I got introduced to Life, The Universe, and Everything.
