SELF Soft Walking Hand Weights, Pair

I got these, and the first thing I noticed was that they smelled. I would describe it as a toxic smell, emanating from the powder inside these soft weights.I tried using them a couple of times, but I could not get past the smell. Neither could I get past the warning label in small print on the outside of the package, which reads, "Warning: This product contains one or more chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm." They also appeared to be adding dust to the air that I was breathing as I worked out.I have moved on to a different set of hand weights sold here on Amazon, Gymenist Neoprene Exercise Workout Dumbbells. They are available in different weights. I purchased the Gymenist two-pound ones and am also planning to purchase the one-pound ones. Those weights are fantastic. Highly recommend those; I would take a pass on these.

I love these, they are perfect. They are comfy to hold and I much prefer them to hard plasticy or rubbery style weights. These are much easier to throw in a bag for on the go. The built in strap helps you keep them on your hands or you can throw them into any bag, tuck them into clothing, etc. to add a bit of difficulty to your workout.This may seem a bit unconventional but I also use them to help train dogs to wear backpacks! It's super easy to put a 1lb weight on each side and these are perfect since they are so soft they won't poke the dog. Even my most sensitive dog reacted very well to carrying these as an introduction to carrying more weight in the backpack (you want to introduce it first without weight).

The item does not properly contain the lead powders insider, I was able to see black powder sipping out from the side after first use. This is incredibly hazardous especially for pregnant woman (seeing the product is designed for women it is quite a shock), I am to return this item immediately. Be warned.

These are so great and easy to hold. I thought that it was going to be a hard weight covered in soft material, but the weight itself is sand filled and squishy. I love that

These are a good price, right weight, nice looking and durable. However, they are too loose for me for jogging - and I have slightly larger than average hands as a man. The loose fit forces me to grip the weights in a way that is not the best for an hour-long run. And then as the material inside shifts, it's even more uncomfortable. That said, this is the second pair I've bought (the others were lost after some years), as I haven't found any better!

I have taken to using hand weights for speed-walks and runs. The other brand I got accustomed to work great, but I needed another pair to stash at my frequent "away" location.I used these for the first time today and they meet the need, however they are designed for a small hand size. I am a medium-sized guy with normal guy hands. The strap size on these weights are too small for me to carry them comfortably as designed with the strap across my knuckles.Otherwise they seem to be a good product and are probably great for people with small hands.

I've got a back disability and I got these to exercise my arms while I lie down. I wanted something that I could use without the discomfort of using a heavy cold metal in the bed and these are great. Their perfect and as my arms strengthen I plan on getting the heavier ones to continue.

These seem to be well built and they are not bulky. The only complaint I have with this product is that the hand strap is pretty small. I do not have huge hands but, my hands do not fit in the straps completely. Otherwise a good product.

Weighted material inside moves too easily and the whole hand grip is too large for my hands. The strap over my hand is too loose and I'm constantly having to re-adjust my grip. Nice weight though.... I wouldn't recommend even though price was great.

I had reconstructive surgery on my shoulder and wrist and had to build my arm muscles back up. It fits nicely in your hand with the holding grips and comfortable to use. Would recommend.

These are great for my kids dance class. You don’t have to worry about them dropping them on their feet.
