Profile Designs T1+ Aerobars

Bars looked like they had been around the block a few times when I unboxed them, no damage or scratches, but there were rub marks on the ski bars, and the box containing piece was crushed. I was able to rub the marks that were on the bars to satisfactory "new looking" condition.I have had no problems with slippage of the arm rests or bars as other have mentioned, I did tighten pretty hard however. This is my second set of aero bars, the first set was a knock off brand (almost identical to the Profile design T2+) and one of the J brackets broke when I was trying to "adjust" the arm rest up after miles of use. Do yourself a favor and just loosen the allen bolt to make adjustments and don't strong arm it into position. This can lead to a broken bracket and a costly fix.As far as the T1/2/3/4/5 goes, I would have liked the T3+ bend option more than the T1+ because it has the dip just before the final bend, making it slightly more comfortable on your wrist, but they cost almost twice as much. My old set was identical to the T2+ bend option, I liked it as well, but I do like the T1+ more than the T2+ bend option after trying both out now. All are only my personal preference, but I would rate them T3+, T1+, T2+ T4+ T5+ in order of comfort.The level of customization this line of aero bars offer is amazing, and if you cannot find a comfortable riding position with them, you will probably not be able to find aero bars that work for you. Everyone is different, and you will probably not set up your bars the same as someone else, so if you think you may want to try out some, the T1+ offers a great bar set at a very good price, on sale:).

I read quite a bit about aerobars before making the purchase. I knew I didn't want to buy a tri-bike with built in aerobars because I was not sure whether I would still be so into triathlons for long (I am now addicted, so it makes more sense). However, these are great if you want to try out how you like aerobars before making the plunge to a tri-bike. I will say that the positioning on your bike takes a bit of getting used to and a bit of adjusting so that your back doesn't hurt, but my speed increased probably 2.5-3 mph using these. I have had no real problems with these aerobars, except sometimes the elbow pads don't stay in position after leaning on them.

Added these bars to a Trek Domane road bike. They're fantastic! I do a fair amount of rides over 50 miles including century rides throughout the summer. It's been really nice to have an extra option to take pressure off the hands on flat stretches of road. Comfort was my intention more than to increase speed by getting into a more aero position. I'm 6'3 and the reach of the bars is just fine. Install took less than five minutes on a 31.8 mm bar. I made a few adjustments after the first ride, and now they're in a good spot. The pads are comfortable and there are a lot of adjustment options.

Lots of adjustment to get it just the way you want & it's SOLID. I cork-wrapped the bars & it's perfect. I was not concerned about the aerodynamics... I just wanted another riding position. Wish i would have bought these months ago. It gives me 0.75 mph increase at same effort vs the lower hoop on my road bars.

Added these to the bike the night before a 30 mile ride, took about 5 miles to result get use to them after that, just loved them, wrapped them with lizard skin, they felt great and very sturdy. Little back ground, I am 6' and 230, just saying that even with my frame they were wonderful

Still getting used to it and adjusting to fit. Wish I could move the pads a little wider, but otherwise it can adjust in any direction I need.

Awesome aerobars. This version is better than the ones I've seen in videos on youtube. The design flaw for one of the bottom screws has been fixed in a great way. Really easy to install
